Reading books on this topic does not mean the dudes who need it (nikkas like me) sit in their grandmother's basement in their Cheetos-powder-stained Hanes with 2K and RealityKings lit on the screen all day (though I/we have our dark Saturdays).

What it means is we'll be in a certain setting or out and about and we're looking at people because we have no choice but the body language registers blank to us, or (this is me) the inherent over-analysis will discard possible and probable body language messages less self-conscious people accept.

In other words, the brehs who need these books are gonna use both text and field experience by default unless they literally do not function in society by even at least leaving the crib to hold a job.

Western people need to do the opposite of reading a book. They actually need to remove all this programming and preconceptions so they can have honest interactions. Instead of going into every social interaction with an agenda and preconceived notions of how things should be. You just have to let go and see whats good in the moment.
