Animation for 1 episode can cost between 250-and 500thousand and thats just for the animation.
A little over a month old but not sure many of you knew about this was not on here
Its a shame when we as Black folks get things like these we either drop the ball or do not go into it hard enough. Aaron should have just been like South Park and kept on releasing multiple episodes every year that address pop culture and society to see if it ignites a change. Particularly with Obama and drug war.
not all studios/networks are equal brah. plus your talking about a live action tv show.Even if that was the case that's a drop in the bucket for a network/studio.
One episode of Veronica Mars cost $1.8 million to produce, $150-250,000 is nothing in terms of Television.
I understand what your saying but he couldn't have at least made a better balance?
Think about what i am saying for a second breh......
We have had 45 episodes in 8 years..........
we have had 45 episodes in 8 years..........
8 years.......
You don't see something wrong with that?
No excuse for 45 episodes
Cosign. No excuse for 45 episodes in 8 years when you shows on the same network like Robot Chicken with 143 episodes in the same time period. The animation takes time excuse doesn't hold water. There are plenty of episodes that would have written themselves during the Obama Administration that Boondocks has totally ignored. I understand McGruder wants total control over his product but dude blew it with the way he's handled this. He could have easily hired a staff of writers in his same mindset to come up with random stories to carry the show though the years like South Park / Family Guy. Every episode doesn't have to have some spiritual meaning with black folks. Some of us just like seeing those characters in regular situations without it having to change the world somehow...

Let that man cook, in peace, without all the sociology/racial nonsense
It's 2013 and no one wants to wait for ANYTHING, then, want to complain when things get stale and boring and repetitive

My point stands.45 episodes........8 years![]()
