Wait, but isn't this easily avoided by playing royalty free music. Many youtubers who broadcast, just use royalty free use beats and they have lots of good shyt.

Nope.. They have currently removed the audio from people who even made the music themselves, owned their own music licenses, etc.

im sure a lot of this will be fixed (maybe) in the near future, but for the time being, its basically no sound unless its your own voice on your VOD or it will be muted. Keep in mind you can play this on your stream currently but if you want to upload to youtube or save the VOD, everything will be muted.

Its only in VODS (for now, but for a video to be a vod, it has to be streamed, so this pretty much makes it so you cant listen to music on stream).

This right now currently even mutes IN GAME music :dead:

thats right.. if you playing Zelda, your entire video will be muted :damn:

This shyt even muted Twitches own video up this week :pachaha:

I said this in the google/youtube buying twitch thread this shyt would happen (banning music), I just didnt think it would happen this quick

twitter, reddit.. pretty much any social media that has gamers on it is going hard as fukk right now on this shyt... people already moving to hitbox.tv - this shyt might end badly quick for twitch :damn:

it was all good just a week ago :damn:

edit: just for clarification, you cant have ANY music playing on your vods.. not even from a radio in the background, or anything..

So right now it's muting ALL videos, whether it's from clients of Audible Magic or not?

Isn't it also illegal to stream a game unless you have permission?

its not illegal to stream games (although may be in the future). But streaming games has made a lot of them more popular, especially indy games.

:russ: actually I already made the switch to just solo my boring ass voice on my streams months ago during Elder Scrolls Online because I had pandora playing one time and tried to upload a video to youtube and they was like :camby: the fukk you thinkin tryna upload this video with music playing in the back ground :camby: so since then I did this set up (took me awhile to get it figured out actually) where basically I got a program called VAC that creates a fake sound card on my computer and creates more lines in and outs (you create the lines) and basically I have it so my music is set up to 1 line, while the game is set up to another line. So I can listen to music, but the stream cant hear it.

Cant recommend the set up for novice computer people honestly shyt made me wanna break my keyboard figuring it out :sadcam:
