Right on. I believe it. However, the ethnic history of people teaching it might still be a cause to

In my opinion, he didn't hate white people, he just understood that they were apart of the unpleasant black experience in America, therefore, they couldn't be apart of the efforts to mend it
I think that's the most sensible way to phrase it in this thread so far.

Maybe in Mo county, not in PG, that wasn't taught, not in the general social studies class. shyt was just a little section on slavery, Booker T, Dubois, civil rights and Martin. Unless you took AA studies, which was only available in certain schools. In English class, didn't learn a damn thing about Black writers

it is?I guess what im saying is why isnt this book taught in high schools? it would be ideal although im not sure it would work

we read a lotta black literature in ms/hs actually
ralph ellison, zora neale hurston, alice walker, james baldwin, toni morrison, color of water, autobiog of malcolm
in elementary school african and black american folklore was well represented too
but it wasnt perfect, and where i went to school was different from most places i think
I graduated in 2000, they didn't teach us shiitpg county hs english had it as required reading as of 4 years ago
Trying to think back on all the things we read in HS for English classes, all I can remember right now is one Greek myths class, Catcher in the Rye, Brighton Beach Memoirs, The Crucible, and Malcolm's autobiography.
I couldn't stand assigned reading in those days.

X was @ his best when he hated cacs....shouldnt of took that trip because it soften him up...and u know he wouldve turned into a liberal were all 1 ppl with age...because everybody get softer with age
