Shes def greater than anyone in the 40 below age group so next you'd go the the 40 and above and that would put her up there with the other greats, I'm not saying shes better worse just she can be mentioned with those guys a performer.

Bey is simply not on their level. In terms of voice, she is no prime Whitney or Mariah. In terms of impact & dance, she is no prime MJ or Janet. In terms of songwriting & pure talent, she is no Prince. And her discography is not timeless compared to theirs either.

In terms of her peers, I personally would pop in a Aaliyah or Brandy album before Bey. I personally would attend an Erykah Or Jill Scott concert before Bey.

Let’s focus on skill and technique and not anything else. By the time MJ was her age, he was lipping his performances and stopped singing live. He kinda recycled the same dance moves and his choreography wasn’t as fluid as before. Tbh I believe he was in his prime during The Bad era. Bey has been in the industry for 20+ years and hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down. She’s in the best shape of her life after having twins as well, and is coming off of arguably her best performance of her career. If Bey was a male, this conversation wouldn’t be as heated as it is, and people wouldn’t have a problem with calling her the goat.. but because she’s female, it’s a controversial.
