Again, where does it or he say he's NOT saving money? You're assuming because he spends x amount there's nothing left to save.

I’m not sure how old he is but he doesn’t seem old. So if he’s in the earlier stages of his career, lets say he makes about 200-225k per year as a SDE. That puts him at about 11k-12k per month in New York, without healthcare benefits or retirement savings taken into account. So with that, I hope he’s actually making in the 250k+ range… at least. But even with that, he can’t be saving or investing much, even for a rainy day. I’m all for enjoying your life, but you gotta be calculated. And if he’s not paying off those AMEX cards every month, that interest is gonna be a bytch.

I just checked our DoorDash bill and we are doing 2k DoorDash per month…. The grocery store near my building has an average bill
