It's OK to have a preference but to say you 'ONLY' want a type of person it's fetishizing them.
Its ok to have a preference and it's ok to have a "fetish". You nikkas act like women trying to use words and shaming tactics to control grown ass people. as long as you ain't doing nothing morally wrong or illegal so what?

People don’t even know what a hood dude is smh.

She is talking about a street nikka. A street nikka and a hood nikka ain’t the same thing.

Plenty of good hood dudes. They are hood cause they just happen to grow up there. A street dude is in the streets.

That's what she meant from her description of the dude.

Personally, I am over women liking/loving street dudes. If a woman like those types of men, then so be it! I am sure most of those women are too young for me plus I am in a relationship, so I wish all of them the best.

BTW, I agreed what the woman in the clip said and I appreciated her mentioning lack of emotional intelligence among other things..

Ppl like who they like! *shrugs*

Maybe it’s a regional thing, but in Texas and Louisiana we use “ghetto” and “ratchet” to describe lower class behavior.

You won’t hear someone call a breh like Ja Morant or “Tut Tarantino” “hood”, because they’re not from the hood.

But you could call their behavior “ghetto” or “ratchet”, even though we won’t because we know that’s what they want and we don’t want to encourage them.

Hypothetically speaking, you can be “street” without being “hood” and vice versa but alright breh, go off. :pachaha:

Look at Gelo. He was raised in a financially stable, two parent household with an active father, and white mother, and still got tatted up, became a rapper with thot baby mommas. Some people are just attracted to the lifestyle.

The classic bad boy debate.

Women are ALWAYS going to be attracted to those type of men, because everything about their demeanor says they don’t give AF.

The less fukks you give and the less you are governed by rules the more people seem to care and respect you.

Women, hell people period, tend to gravitate towards more antihero type characters.

It's old as prostitution and snitching are.

What is a street dude exactly these days?

I am a little older so when I think of a street dude I think of the men from the 90s and early 2000s who were getting it in.

These guys always were well groomed, charismatic and always had money.

Nowadays, I think street dudes are just guys who run around being unproductive and probably trying to run a little scam here and there.

I understand the appeal of the first above-mentioned man but not the second.

Honestly a lot of women just take what comes their way and then glamorize it on the back end.

I don't think women are as into the street dudes as it appears. I think many women want the attention so bad they take it from wear it comes.

They knowingly date a mush mouth with no future and then be like "Oh yeah I like him because he be in these streets and move around."

Nah bih that's all you can get or relate to

Idk why people never speak on this.

This narrative that women are ultra picky is SSSSSOOOO not true.

In general, brehettes in the 17-35 age group are definitely more into hood and street dudes than clean cut Black dudes. The Pop the Balloon show is a good demonstration of this.
