That hospital environment is depressing and high pressure af, while the bag is nice, you have to love what you do to become a nurse.My sister got horror stories for days. Depressing shyt. So many preventable deaths that happen.
not to mention how many times she's been called the n word by ppl who's ass she has to wipe.

Aren't you starting in the ICU? Are you thinking of doing CRNA? If you don't mind me asking, what's your GPA from school?

Yes I am. No, not thinking about CRNA right now. My GPA was 3.0, IIRC. I'm also doing my BSN.

It was! I took a contract for 3 months and they kept renewing it, I ended up staying for a year. Initially, it was lower pay but since they wanted me to stay I negotiated more money and every Friday off. I'm on another contract for 4 months and they already told us they're going to offer us extensions. This one is more than the last

Okay, well I was definitely going to advocate for you doing it! It's amazing money and if you find a gig at a surgery center it's usually no call, or weekends/holidays. I would do it, but I have a 3.0 too and with that GPA, you'd have to have way more experience than I care to do in the ICU. But you should think about it! Good luck on your new job
