shoe game is done. The prices are insane, the bots and backdoors took over. The good reps and real pair are identical. The shoe reviewers know the reps are identical as well but can’t come to admit. Stockx Goat Ebay etc be authenticating reps because they can’t tell the difference. shyt is over. There’s a few threads where a dude paid 8k on some limited Jordan 4’s numbered and all from sockx but they were fake. Stockx confirmed that the dude purchased from them. Here’s the story below. The shoe game done for shoe enthusiasts unless companies make changes. They need to do mulitple shock drops of these releases or pre-order for people who just like shoes.

Yeah this is absolutely fukked. I might have to start buying reps because what the fukk is this? How many thousands of others slipped through the crack? I couldn’t imagine paying 500-600 bucks for some sneakers, let alone 3-4K and this dude spending 8K on some damn sneakers and they turn out to be fake. I’d be sick. Stockx is making a killing selling fakes. This is crazy.

Yeah like so many others have said, getting hyped releases are few, far, and in between.

Its sadly hilarious when I get notifications from GOAT saying "X just released, go and cop" as if its retail and not the $200 mark up. Its so easily to resell online sneakers now that a small child could do it.

Pre GOAT/STOCK X, it was pretty much EBAY as the main source for buying resell, if you missed a release, you could always try fighclub as well which had high resell prices but not too bad given the times. But ebay started getting flooded with fakes, and people needed a safer way to know they were not getting taken advantage of with the sneakers along with Hypebeast killing the game as well...

Gotta follow the money, Adidas and Nike have stock in goat/stock x. The seller fees and buyer fees are insane, sometimes you lose more money than you gain when you're reselling because people don't really have the disposable income to sit on the shoes for a while and need to make their money back.

My motto is "if I can't get for retail, move on oh well".. Too many people give in to the hype, pay ridiculous resell prices and have buyers remorse.

Yeah when I seen footlocker invested in goat
I knew it was a wrap plus those notifications is shady

Plus the Nike executive kid :smh:

Done left the game alone. I have well over 50 pairs and this year all I copped were the Griffeys (2 pairs each Freshwater and Royal blue) Carolina low 11's and a pair of Converses and that's it. I have been known to cop 3 pairs of kicks in a weekend but the game is so fukked up now its crazy. Folks with all this extra money fukking shyt up but it has saved me money so fukk it :yeshrug:

I don't think I've not been able to get what I want from StockX yet

The only pair of sneakers I've never been able to get on there was those suede all black gum sole dunks that came out years ago...

Other than that? I generally only pay about $50 over retail and based on how sick the sneaker game has become with these resellers, I just charge it to the game and keep pushing

All those Travis Scott, Yeezy shyts? Them shyts are ugly and you look like a hypebeast when you rock em anyways. None of these shyts that nikkas are paying $500 for would I rock anyways so the little shytheads in their IG pics with 300 of em can have em :russ:

I think stockx got me with some fakes too. Them black and gold 1s. Nike qc is shyt though, so I ain't 100%.

I got a pair like this too that I question. Thing is, I have about 2 pairs of Js I copped from Foot Locker in store that have shytty QC. Just poor stitching/sewing and these are retail. Fakes looked better than my retail joints

Man y’all really changing my mind about this sneaker shyt. Glad y’all see the bullshyt too and this clearly a worldwide issue

The sneaker game all fukked up, I thought it would die down after the streetwear boom a few years ago, but the pandemic only seemed to make things worse.

I just copped some 1s and dunks, and had to spend $300+ each for them shyts :hhh: only reason why I got them was because my girl gave me the money and made me buy them. I couldn’t justify buying them shyts with my own money.

The only positive out of this is if you have shoes to resell, because it’s definitely a sellers market. I can sell these shattered backboards I got for $1600-1800 online easily

I’m just a breh who occasionally buys sneakers, when I need them. But it ironic when sneaker collectors start bytching about the current state of affairs. Y’all created this monster :comeon:
People been acting goofy, camping out for well over 15yrs probably. The sites just took it to another level but y’all planted the seeds way back by showing the brands there were hypebeast willing to do whatever for a release
