Right! The battery and Queens midtown tunnel are useless. I just assume New Jersey and CT people who don’t know any better use it. When I go into Manhattan I take Brooklyn and Manhattan bridge. Free!

only thing about NYC is that it’s a choice to pay tolls. You can drive through the city paying no toll and honestly idk why cause even the toll crossings have bad traffic

NY and NJ own Port Authority… and you go ahead and drive through nyc if you want to avoid tolls… you will be sitting in 2-3 traffic on trips that take you less than 20mins

I usually take the Brooklyn bridge to avoid the battery tunnel and never sit in traffic except the small section between the tunnel and the bk bridge exit.

the queens midtown tunnel literally takes you right into Manhattan street traffic.

only the tri Borough bridge, throggs neck and Whitestone bridge make sense to me
