I can understand why they have them up north to offset maintenance fees but atlanta is just outright bullshyt. Bama has zero as well. Rhode island also has very nice roads

CT should get a toll to fix the 84/91 interchange in Hartford though. I would donate to fix that hellhole.

I know there are tolls in FL and TX I’ve experienced but neither have state taxes.

yeah, any time i had to go into Manhattan i would take the train or park my car in DUMBO and bike across the Manhattan Bridge or walk the BK Bridge.

Right! The battery and Queens midtown tunnel are useless. I just assume New Jersey and CT people who don’t know any better use it. When I go into Manhattan I take Brooklyn and Manhattan bridge. Free!

As someone who has lived in the Bay and Manhattan with a car, I can say there are way more options of avoiding the tolls in NY (Minus coming back from Jersey) than they are in the Bay.

for example, the only way I could avoid toll to go north was going through Marin county from SF to avoid the carquinez or Benicia bridge which added over a half hour. To get to the CT or around NY, there are many ways to avoid toll with it only adding 10-20 mins to your commute.
