What do y'all think of Apollo crews? personally I think the raw athleticism is there but the promos not yet
You need more than just impressive moves or you'll end up like Cesaro. He needs to pitch an idea to creative and develop a character because things won't be getting any easier for him.

Kofi or E deserve a run, Kofi for his longevity and being able to show some character same for E, him being Ziggler's bodyguard didn't really do shyt for him until he hooked up with the rest of New Day. I'd also still keep them a stable, if it ain't broke don't fix it. Just put them in the main event scene after Wrestlemania or something

If they try to build up them as real wrestler instead of goofy characters(New Day, R-Truth) or no character(Apollo). They would be something. They are all purposely being sabotage with their current gimmicks from being main event stars. The New Day has had so little exposure/ direction for the last 3 months that they completely lost steam more than they were boring the marks the death while we waited for title reign record to be broke. Apollo gets made to look like an idiot by freaking Ziggler on a weekly basis and they have no character for him as a babyface. R-Truth had one of the best heel runs and got over, but Vince rather have him as a face and sideshow act. shyt is all political. It took a prank for Vince to figure out how to properly use Mark Henry after 10+ years... wtf. Then, you have MVP,Lashley, and Shelton(Who is returning in a month or two). MVP got topped out as a premier upper-mid-carder and when his character needed a creative push to get over the edge. WWE just swept him under the rug. Vince let a young Lashley walk out before he even was hitting his prime. Shelton 2.0 should be interesting. I hope he comes out with a great gimmick.

But there it is

Why are shelton and mvp not on the orton and edge level... Its because they were programmed as such...

Shelton just didn't have it. Fantastic worker but just was never going to be a star. MVP I thought could have been big. He just stayed in that gimmick way too long. And his attire was top 5 WOAT.

Definitely Lashley as well as mark henry.

Lashley is the black Brock lesnar.

Henry should've won like 4 or five years ago. Dude is a convincing heel. Especially back in 07.

Lashley is the clear choice
Shelton was as talented as anyone they had, his drawback was he was shyt on the mic and had little charisma. they tried to make him into rock 2.0 having him wear "$500 shirts, shades, and yelling his catchphrase" but that wasn't him.

I wasn't anywhere near as sold on MVP as a lot of you guys were. his gimmick had mega potential, but for me he just wasn't cool enough. looking back tho at everyone who got to carry the world or wwe title. he might as well had got a shot too.

big e should get a chance, but they stuck him with the clown show gimmick and if he had any balls he would have gone to vince by now and said he wants to be serious and given a real push.

kofi was never world champion material imo.

marcus cor von had the potential, homie thats a commentator for tna had potential as well imo. can't remember his name right now, he had heat with cm punk.

jay lethal is mid card AT BEST

That was hard asf, no idea why they went with crazy truth

That's one talented guy. The black goldust. Just handed absolute trash and still gets over with it.

MVP super missed.

Big E I hope gets that shot and Xavier.

BUT JAY LETHAL IS A GUARANTEED STAR

Booker T kinda reached his ceiling in WWE. He was a mark taking WWE lowball offer to join immediately post wcw when he could've waited and played his cards

Elijah Burke aka The Pope. I find it funny when people say "Well so and so could work but he wasn't a good promo or charismatic." Pope was green but his charisma was through the fukking roof.

I agree on a lot of these points. It seems to me that it's hard to find guys that are good blends. The talented in-ring guys with the appealing images are SUPER talented and athletic, but they don't seem to buy into the character and truly own it....OR they're iffy on the mic. (Kofi's/Shelton/Crews)

The guys that are superb on the stick and great with embracing their characters are either hindered by age, lack of image, or floundering athleticism. (MVP/Henry/Woods/Lethal)

As far as current guys, I could see Big E making noise in the main event because New Day's given him a chance to get more than comfortable on the mic and the crowd sees that he puts in WORK with the hot tags. He's had a chance to establish signatures and show that he can adapt his character.

All it'd take is either a program where he turns on Kofi and Woods and has emotional matches with them OR having him shine in a tournament for a shot at the title the way TNA built Bobby Roode from tag title to main event star in that Bound For Glory series. Have him work a few great matches with Cesaro and knock off Reigns in the finals. He'd be a made man.

I'm kind of losing faith in Crews because he's got the look and the working potential to be one of the guys, ESPECIALLY on Smackdown. Put him in there with Styles and you're probably getting a classic but it's like he doesn't have that ACTOR switch that a guy like Woods or Lethal has. He's got that constant "corpsing" vibe of someone that's afraid to fully embrace that he IS a Apollo Crews and not a guy playing Apollo Crews on TV. He should've been left to develop a bit more, but there's always time.

I've got the most bank on Cedric Alexander.
He's got the talent. He's got the look. He's got the indy pedigree. He's essentially Balor with more dimension. :sas2:

HHH already seems high on him. Put him on Raw and in a car with Owens (who loves him), so he can get the character psychology in tune. His style is perfect for a true baby-face run and these shows are desperate for a baby-face that both smarks & casuals dig NOT named Sami Zayn.

Honestly. I think one of the biggest missed opportunities was Xavier Woods. The proof is one he's done in New Day. He could've easily been a top heel on some rick rude or selfish type persona. He has the look, the mic skills and in ring ability. They messed him up out the gate tho.

the one thing tho @luckyse7enz you look at the guys the wwe DID put the belt on Khali, Dolph, Miz, Swagger, Bray, Balor. none of those guys are the total package or big draws. but they all got a chance. there's no reason the Black wrestlers shouldn't have got one. Shelton was the only one you could maybe say, well the talent above him was too deep
