Brunson already has more playoff points as a Knick than Melo

Melo had help for one playoff run. He was playing with a bunch of scrubs most of the time.

This fakkit has a no trade clause and still allowed Denver to rape knicks and take all their assets just so Melo could get the real max. Melo is a fukking moron. One ring in nyc woulda been way more money long term than whatever the measly difference between max and bird rights max was at the time.

Yes they were, but there became a point to where no one would critique them, so it is irrelevant. Jordan would be mad if they won, because his opposite outscored him. This has been mentioned several times. Kobe got the same critiques early on, but people eventually calmed on him. Shaq always got mad if he didn't score 30, no matter what else happens, and often admitted if he didn't touch the ball on damn near every play, he wasn't playing defense or would get team TOs. You can go back and find other instances of other players saying the same thing. There's nothing wrong with wanting to win AND dominate, versus winning and not dominating. And isn't Lebron the same guy that says "check my stats" when they lose and he had a great all around game? There's no way you watched Melo play, and said he doesn't want to win. But once the media paints a narrative of any player, it's impossible for them to shake.

Chauncey, was a career role player who ultimately won a championship on a team with no one wanting to dominate. The only one that could truly do so was Sheed, and he still gets criticized for that...regardless of them winning a 'chip. And Chauncey still had his best season playing along side Melo, and they lost the series because Deron lit him up, not because Melo wasn't playing defense or playing hard.
My guy everyone you named cared about winning more than scoring 30. They were not mad that the team won and they scored 22. We know about those stories already, none of them confirm that winning came secondary to scoring 30. Chauncey also told you that Melo scoring 36 in a loss was trying to light up the locker room. Nobody you named is doing that.

Chauncey winning with Detroit is irrelevant and him having his best season in Denver is irrelevant and false.

Who'd they rape them for? What did Denver do with the players they raped the Knicks for? nikkas really acting like Danilo Gallinari and some other dudes not being on the Knicks with Melo is why he didn't win here. Other teams were just better and the star Melo was supposed to team up with was busy punching fire extinguishers :dahell::unimpressed:

"Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Timofey Mozgov, the Knicks 2014 first-round draft pick, the Warriors’ 2012 second-round pick (obtained from previous trade,) the Warriors’ 2013 second-round pick (obtained from previous trade and $3 million in cash. Denver used one of those picks to select Jamal Murray."

So yeah, they have up a whole team worth of depth, and the chance at a potential young star

So everything Joker has accomplished over the past 4 years is out the window because of 2 games of a playoff series?

Carmelo is an overrated bum because....Jalen Brunson is balling out and he's not 6'10?

Why are you trying to justify this?
Posters are hypocrites

Complain about new stars not getting love then instead of doing just that shyt on the older players

These people don’t care about basketball & never have. The love to talk down on players & the drama>><<

Billups best year wasn't in Denver. The only time Melo had any post season success was when Billups joined the team. Nuggets lost to the Lakers in 09 because Melo didn't show up after game 2. He put on his usual disappearing act in the post season.

And what did Denver do with that during Melo's tenure with the Knicks? Besides Danilo, nikkas clowned us about Felton and Mozgov during their time here. That's actually a trend with the Knicks. I remember the jokes about drafting Porzingas. Yet the second they get traded, we were "fleeced". Melo got the Knicks to a #2 seed, with more wins than this current team. He didn't win shyt, but neither did a Reggie Miller who everyone seems cool calling himself the boogeyman when he's 26-41 all time against the Knicks and lost the series where he made the choking gesture :mjlol:

That's what happens when your front office is finally competent.

The year after they lost in the second round they give up assets for Andrea Bargnani.

:dead:

Jr Smith regressed, Shumpert too. Chandler wasn't the same.

They had the pieces but they didn't pan out. Melo was the only one showing up night after night.

This is false.

Are you retarded bro? You be quoting nikkas without doing research?

Carmelo Anthony was kicked out the league at age 34. Nobody wanted him after 10 games with the Rockets.

Wade All star at age 34
Lebron All star at age 34
Kobe all star at age 34
Ray allen all star at age 35
Paul Pierce all star at age 34
Durant all star at age 34

Most of the top 75 players Melo played against in his era were still all stars at age 34 while his bum ass couldnt even get on a team.

On one hand, theres irrational Melo love/stannery, and at least with NY folks, goin back to his 'cuse days
if Melo grew up and hooped in LA or bumblefukk Oklahoma all these NY stans wouldnt give a shyt about him

and its a fact that Melo underachieved in the league. so its funny seeing stans juelzing....

HOWEVER Melo does catch unnecessary strays too much. so its funny seeing his haters go out of their way to shyt on him too, because his NBA career doesnt warrant the type of strays he gets. I dont even think hes mentioned along with 2010s greats too much, yet anyone eclipsing his career somehow is always compared to him

as someone who didnt really like Melo's game, but also doesnt have a horse in the race :manny: I think it goes both ways

These are not his peers.

Melo isn't a Bron/Kobe/Wade/KD level player.
