America needs an intellectual to lead, someone who puts education above dropping bombs. Obviously, I meant a leader in general, not a leader for black people

Too soft = too intellectual?
the thread title is 'black 'leader... i don't think I would have answered the question of new 'white' leader...

Too soft doesn't mean intellectual. we've had hard intellectuals... we've had intellectuals who wouldn't take pics with a school age white girl poses with fingers crossed looking like they're about to catch butterflies in a net later on..... That dude is softer than babyshyt... but could lead. The reason he couldn't is because 1)most people are ignorant as shyt and wouldn't catch everything he talks about. 2) black people are essentially at war and are targeted and bytchassness isn't right for the current situation.... the overall problem is classicism, and bytchassness isn't good for that battle either. 3)doesn't want to be some 'black' leader

I can only imagine the responses if I made a thread asking who the new "white" leader should be :pachaha:

How is Neil soft though? Yall need to define soft because you're just throwing around a term. Dude was a wrestler in high school and college, yall act like he was in the knitting club and shyt. If there is one thing Tyson is good at is explaining complex problems with simple language, I don't think he'd go over folks heads.

We need workers, not leaders. Such workers will solve the problems which race leaders talk about.

-Carter G. Woodson

i say we just need everyone to play their part.

leaders get killed in this society, we just need to have a playbook and execute it.

I get so tired of hearing white people say stuff like this :snoop:

you have already had White Leaders throughout America's History. You run the entire WORLD you don't need 'white' leaders, you aren't being oppressed. You act as if black people have no right to talk about issue regarding us Black folks. This is the jedi-mind trick that has hurt us more than anything....we don't call anything regarding us black anymore. We always try to include 'everybody' or every minority in our stuff. Sorry, being black is exclusive. We are the only non-immigrants people in this country with our type of problems. Never hear this crap about Gays, Asians, or Hispanics. Stop it.

'Black' Leader is appropriate & yes I'm for Black People along with other folks as well...but Black people comes 1st.

lol, go ahead and make the thread.

and I guess he was a wrestler n all that... but he just seems soft. And due to the fact that history has place a large % of black youth in urban environments.... you simply can't come off how he does. I personally like him, but I know many who wouldn't. shyt, even me... I get reject by youth from the same hood i came from, from the same hood i put more work in than these youngins..... just cuz I dress up everyday. Tyson just isn't right for a fukked up situation. He's good w what he's doing. Like I said, everyone plays their part--- he's doing good just being there.... so that black kids like him will know that there is even a thing called 'black scientist'. Plus we do need someone to lead the stem studies momentum for hbcu's.... He would be perfect for that.

idk if your ignorant or not....

but you should look up sankara for an fyi. and he was eliminated because he was a threat - just like many others.

Have you listened to many X speeches? Most of the ones he gave and most of the ones people remember weren't about religion. Mature people recognize that religion or non religion, or whatever is a personal choice. If the person is motivating others or having an effect then it shouldn't matter what they believe in.

Isolating people or dissing movements because they even have a religion is also feeding into the divide and conquer as much as anything else.... fyi.

If someone is about economic empowerment, or anything else- then why do u care if they are Buddhist or Baptist?

Anyone who didn't listen to Malcolm x back then wouldn't listen to him now... and ur completely wrong about y blacks rejected him back then. Very few did cuz of Islam. Most did because they were nervous about his message. Others did because they were on the Peaceful protest stuff.. and the CIA and some CAC rejected it because he was

effective.

It's ironic you should say that I interviewed a 106 year old black man back in '06 and he said the exact same thing, the thing Malcom was asking of Black Folk in the 50's and early 60's was too much to ask at the time in the sense that they were like :mindblown:

get a core group of like 3 or 4 people w ur same views who you have slight influence over....

then look up madd speeches by great leaders and try to memorize them... then be around people and CAC with views opposite ur own. perfect ur counter argument abilities.

Then earn money. u can't be a broke leader unless ur a part of a national organization. listen to a lil Claud Anderson to help formulate ur own ideas about economics n shyt.

Then don't try to be a leader.... because true leaders are grown organically not forced.... and real leaders are willing to die, so if u are willing to kill a person without it bothering u too much. or die for ur beliefs, then just fall back n do u.

Be the change in your neighborhood. Build coalitions. Join local civic groups and attend local party and civic shyt. Meet people. If you're in college, hit as many groups and talks as you can. I was just at Viacom speaking to Black directors about their experiences and got their info and a lot of useful tips and stories. I'm really a quiet dude, but I'm trying.

The counter tactic with cacs is simple. They don't want to lose so they will change subjects. You have to learn that some people when they lose just defer the attention to other areas. It's been a tactic they have used for years.

I just recently got into a debate, in Public.... with a very liberal white guy (i thought). We used to work together a few companies ago.. I thought he was cool.

But he flipped it on me. He made comments like civil rights bills and government assistance we both unconstitutional. He flipped it on me cuz I think he might be a libertarian now... his point was that even most of the good things we have - should be illegal and not have federal intervention. That it was a violation of states rights to even have things like civil rights {for blacks and women and other minorities} . And i was sorta in a box cuz I was also arguing states rights, lol for guns and abortions, and marriage issues. i can't really explain it all on here- but IT was fukked up.

Not everybody moves the post and changes topics in shyt. I've gotten into debates with black dudes, lawyers n shyt - who knew maddddddd facts, dates, cases, off the top of the dome.

CAC are the easy ones because they are usually using points off talk radio and other BS. Then u hit them with "well actually Ronald Regan... "

CACs in the south are known to say they are rep but they are lib and still quote fukkery from guys like Herman Cain and Rush. I been in plenty of arguments with them. I was raised in the burbs so I know their mindset. It's all the same. The difference is one maybe a bigot and the other may not be a bigot.
