It’s a term used by women to basically attempt to get young women and girls to use another shea butta term Decenter Men.

Being fast doesn’t necessarily mean what a toxic masculine person would call a Thot It’s a girl overly concerned with the Male gaze and attention like a girl wearing a revealing outfit around boys which could end up leading her to have sex too early.

If there’s no words to correct female behavior you can’t protect them.

Usuallly there’s a natural separation that occurs after puberty between boys and girls when they get interested in different things. Girls hanging around boys with hormones raging might get their butts squeezed or something because boys don’t know what to do with all that newfound sexual energy.

The context of the tweet and the thread is about Black children being labeled fast. The term “fast” is an older generation term. I have never heard Gen Z (early 20s and teens) or Gen Alpha use that term. They do use YN in a casual way, while older people and non Black people seem to use it in a discriminatory way. That’s why I added that connection.

Yes kids have to navigate their own social circles. But this is a site of adults advocating for the right to label kids. And we know that Black girls and boys are often targeted sexually by adult men and women. So I agree with the original tweet premise (even though the word “slur” is overdoing it) that adults should be careful about labeling kids. Particularly kids they don’t really know and aren’t in community with.

Yep so the community victimizes these girls and sometimes boys twice . They were unprotected and preyed on then when issues like wilding out arises they’re called fast or hoes. People can never be perfect but it’s so easy for us to be better
