between them putting literally no money into Juelz project, under shipping then overpricing the Diplomats album and fukking up the rollout of PH Cam was already eager to get out of there..then as soon as he heard LA Reid was coming to DJ and Jay the Pres he was shopping himself while promoting Purple Haze.

Purple Haze was supposed to drop in 2003 but got pushed back due to label politics at Def Jam and the split at Rocafella. The promotion was terrible when it finally dropped. Wasn't Cam's fault at all. They kept the streets hot with all their mixtapes tho.

Here's a playlist I did a while back with songs from the original 2003 advance version of Purple Haze. I got it on a old hard drive. After the real advance it was a couple more with songs they leaked made for the album.

Thats not true. Dipset, D block, Nas all had songs playing. the terror squad had the biggest hit in the summer of 04. G unit run ended prematurely come to think about it mainly because 50 oversaturated himself. When Yayo dropped his album, 50s run was over because yayo flopped. He tried to do a whole lot of other shyt to extend his 15 minutes at the top but G unit and him were finished.

Yayo went gold I think, which for someone like him was good considering he wasn’t as popular as Lloyd/buck/game and missed the first 2 years of 50 becoming huge while everybody else benefited from it early
