Uh no... Individual endorsement contracts mean that everybody gets what they're supposed to get in the end. Dame has no reason to be jealous.
Active players don't have much reason to complain, ESPECIALLY if they are younger than the player getting the big bucks.
When I see HOFers like Wade that cant get this type of deal and scrubs like Conley it makes me wonder what is actually going on in the NBA with some teams.
Conley may be a good player but there have been many good players come down the pipe the past few decades.
He isnt that must have, cant miss type of guy like Lebron, Cp3 or Deron Williams circa 2010.
Giving up that much of your cap to him is insane. Thats like the Warriors giving that money to MO Speights

Conley's numbers aren't as high as others because of the system he plays in, not because of a lack of ability
Guys saying he's a fringe top 10 pg or lower are severely underrating him even with this new contract, he's easily a championship level point guard and no lower than 7-8.
The reason he hasn't made an All Star team is because 4 of the top 5 point guards in the league play in the west, if he was in the east he would have been in a couple of All Star games already

Who were these great perimeter players that he's been playing to take the pressure off him? Where's his Klay, Derozan, Lebron, Durant that's gonna take attention away from him? How are you gonna put up numbers playing in a plodding, two-big system with minimal shooting?I like Conley's game.

He's asked to run the offense, be the top shooter, top scorer, top ballhandler, top playmaker, then play defensive coordinator and diagnose the opponents offense, while chasing around Curry, Westbrook, prime Parker, CP3, Lillard, while having to go up against the opponents best perimeter defender, while scoring in a packed paint, and collect assists with Tony Allen and non-shooting ass Courtney lee on the wings.
Dude has played in a trash offense that has done him no favors. I disagree with the contract he got, and I wanted to blow it up, but I can't have ya minimizing what he's done.

Yeah you don't watch the Grizzlies if you think Raymond Felton at any point was better than Conley is
Should he have the biggest contract ever? Nah, but he's definitely a great player. The ONLY reason he's never made an all-star game is because he's played in the West. He'd have several in the East, where the likes of Jrue Holiday & Kyle Korver have made ASGs

We get caught in the numbers and missing so much other things. Lets keep it one hunned, superstars are not signing in some markets and as someone said earlier, you gonna have to overpay to get others to stay. The contract looks and seems absurd, but the owner is a business man and he would have to be the one to sign off on such a contract. Who knows, maybe the Grizzlies being a staple product and have a rabid fan base makes them $$$$ on the back end with merchendising, ticket sales etc. So, Conley balled out and the Grizz were right there with the Dubs in the 2015 semis....give the man the bread, he earned it and they paid him. Its outrageous, but if people are screaming at what players are making......imagine the
owners. Follow the money
