At what point is Jameis responsible for his play?
Why y'all keep talking about his weapons?
I'm talking about his play, yea he's not on a perfect team we get it already, can you not talk about his play at the QB position without blaming everyone else?![]()
I didn't quote you
I wasn't talking about Jameis having a lot of bad games bro, my point is that he's a talented yet mediocre QB through 1.5 years of football. He's been a disappointment but he's good enough to turn it around
Look at Jameis's stats breh...3rd most INTs, 25th in passer rating, 28th in completion percentage, who is he outplaying?
No breh I look at his body of work. He's inaccurate, turnover prone and makes questionable decisions. Yea he has holes on his team I don't disagree with you there but most teams in the league have injury and personnel problems. Look at the stats I posted breh, he's not playing well and if you look at him play you see the overthrows you see the questionable decision making. I get it, he's a young QB but that doesn't mean I can't critique his play and yes he's still mediocre
Breh Vick was my favorite player but breh was lazy, didn't give a fukk about the game, he never dedicated himself or his body to being a great all around player. He acknowledges all of this BTW. Vick did have a talented run game (Duckett & Dunn), a solid TE (Crumpler) and a decent D. Vick never had a great WR, but he also wasn't a traditional QB (short, left handed QB who didn't always read defenses and threw bullets with no touch). He was hard to catch for alotta of our guys. But as a passing QB yea Vick was a mediocre passer and that's based on his play, not as a black QB or because of his teammates but solely based on his play
And I'm not saying Jameis doesn't deserve the time to get better because he does, but he hasn't been a great QB yet
The Buccaneers are hoping they don't have a serious problem with quarterback Jameis Winston.
"Very (concerned)," Bucs coach Dirk Koetter told the Tampa Bay Times on Sundayfollowing his team's 27-7 loss to the Denver Broncos. When asked how worried he is about his second-year quarterback, Koetter replied "I'm very concerned. ...
"He's not regressing, but we've got to take care of the football. I mean, we've got to take care of the football. We can't turn it over three times in a half. We just can't do that."

2 bad games bruh
I don't get it though. He was drafted first playing on a bad team which he's helped improve. I don't see the disappointment thing. He put up the most yards as a rookie last season and is not 21 games into his career, in the midsts of his second year, for these judgements.
I don't get it. I smell "I said it first" posting.
They improved period. Now it's how much.Which games? Denver & Carolina?
How much have they improved? Tampa has been in last place in the NFC South 7 straight years including last yr. They're currently under .500 and a game out of being last place, are you sure they're better? He's the best QB they've had in years but that team hasn't gotten much better
He hasn't been good so far, I think it's a fair discussion to look at how he's playing in his second season...I'm not making a final judgement on him but right now he's been a disappointment

stats dont tell the whole story...at one point arod was the worst in the league in some of the very stats you just mentioned, would you call him a mediocre qb at the time? i highly doubt it, you wouldve looked at the stuff around him...in jameis case, you are brushing pass all the stuff around him just to say 'look, he's bad'....your second paragraph is example of that...'yea, his team has holes, but..'....that shyt isnt jsut something you can brush pass...in football, the team does matter and can affect how a qb plays...if your line doesnt block, team cant run, only 1 person to throw to, bad play calling, etc., you might have bad stats, but that doesnt mean you're mediocre/bad...also, no one is saying you cant critique him, but you're doing more than critiquing..
i know what vick has acknowledged, i brought him up to show the double standard in how black and non black qbs are talked about....also, no, that team was not talented....he had 1 person to throw to (crumpler) and dunn, that's it....it was him that put that team on his back cause he was a freak of nature....also, i like how you put it on him for people not being able to catch...another example of what i'm talking about how it's the qbs fault and not the lack of talent when it comes to black qbs...if you run the team, you put guys around him that can catch his non traditional passes, which didnt happen...so after he got switched for schabb, the team suddenly acknowledged the lack of talent and started addressing it...see the difference?....
it's very rare a qb will play great his first 2 years in the league, so why the extreme standard for jameis?...even the greats didnt have that standard when they came into the league, but you expect jameis to be that exception...lol ok....just goes to show you doing more than critiquing...

They improved period. Now it's how much.
Yall dudes are too pressed to judge in the middle of growth. Disappointment? he hasn't played long enough to even derive that.

he'll be responsible when the team's talent is better and the play calling improves....this year alone, when the team had a run game and more balanced play calling, his numbers looked better...once everyone went down and the coach asked him to throw the ball 40+ times a game (mainly to 1 wr), his numbers didnt look as good...you seem to be ignoring everything just to say 'look at the numbers'....even with that said, he's on pace for a good year compared to most 2nd year qbs....but since it's not on pace for a great year, he's mediocre to you lol...

Aaron Rodgers play the last 12 months was heavily crititicized, where have you been? It wasn't just about him missing key guys, it was that his play was not as good and yes alotta people did call him a mediocre QB, including Packers fans. That's what you refuse to do, you're only looking at his play because he doesn't have all of his players, you can't give an unbiased look at his play without blaming it on everybody else around him
Schaub never replaced Vick in Atlanta, he was traded to Houston while Vick was still in Atlanta. Stop making up your own fantasy storylines that never happened breh
And the shyt with Vick are facts. Those aren't excuses but Vick was a unique athlete who changed the QB position, players had to adjust to him and coaches had to adjust to how to coach him. That's not a "how black QBs are judged" it's a how Vick was judged thing
I didn't say he has to play great
But his play hasn't even been good, i posted the stats and he's been mediocre, I never said I expect Jameis to be the exception, he's been a mediocre QB on a bad team and you're defending his mediocre play
