they have a different purpose. i always said melo who played for USA TEAM is a perfect 2nd fiddle on a good team. but he refuses to accept that robin role.

so in a hindsight, manu fulfilled his potential, but melo didn't.

Which in turn means Manu had the better, more fulfilling career correct? Which is the actual question of the thread, correct?

I don't know the answer (since it's ALL personal opinion), but I guess I will point out that the title says, "career-wise", for whatever that's worth...

To the point about....points vs. all-around game, is it truly out of the realm of possibility for this to be a debate when it seems that people, essentially, use parts of the same argument when discussing why Michael Jordan is unquestionably the greatest player of all time while seeming to undermine Kareem Abdul-Jabbar?

They both made a significant impact on the game and were a part of legendary dynasties in golden eras of the game. They both have the same number of championships. Kareem has more points than anyone that's ever played in the league (which includes Jordan, course), but Jordan is lauded for his mentality, approach to the game, and ability to make plays (offensively and defensively) when in clutch moments while winning championships.

If that's used to quantify a player like Jordan (over even Magic for that matter) over Kareem than where's the harm in one using it for this debate? :ld:

Manu from Argentina so in his country they living the same

Manu is way underrated because he never played the big minutes so if you're just a number watcher check my stats type of dude you miss his impact

That's why this type of debate shouldn't even be made. I'm not a huge Melo fan but I can't believe this is even being entertained.
