...slave movies
....begging for reparations from slavery days
these are psychological ways to keep blacks inferior
instead of focusing on the accomplishments of now they keep the minds on the past
keep blacks from progressing and keep their minds in the past, smoke and mirrors
I really have been questioning why all of this stuff is happening now.
I've been focusing on more pertinent and immediate issues regarding myself and my own situations in order to help others.
I just kind of hate how certain people in my circle are looking at me weird for not wanting to focus on the past and problems and focus more on solutions.
Like just because I haven't seen any of these slave movies people are looking at me like I'm weird. I don't find that entertaining, that isn't the type of thing I'm checking out on a personal basis, although I understand and fully support the need for those stories to be told.
Black folks got it hard enough as it is in this world. I'd rather focus on the realistic stuff to improve and support black communities instead of drumming up past grievances.
As for reparations, good for them I agree with it, but it's not happening. If you calculated the work done during slavery in terms of dollars it equals trillions upon trillions of dollars. Sorry for going there, but I honestly think those European countries would rather kill off the populations of those carribean islands with HAARP orchestrated hurricanes than go broke trying to repay those debts.
