Its crazy breh the world looks at africans and the diaspora as the butt of all races and when you look and see why every black nation is the way it is today, you see who had a major hand in that.

And they made sure to make an example of Haiti, where mere slaves fought for their independence and won it against the most powerful nation at the time, taking from them their most profitable colony.

They united to condemn the black race. And it makes me legit angry that as of today they got away with their crimes.

But the pendulum does swing and when the diaspora realizes that Unity makes Strength is when you can stand on a front and evoke justice.

What we need to do is shake loose that crab in a barrel, im not like them, we [insert nationality] are better than them mentality that poverty produces. And im happy that the original post is showing something of the like.

Haiti DEFINITELY deserves that capital influx.

But i'm worried their corruption would just fukk it up.

I've said it before.

I'll say it again.

Obama being President has made America (and quite possibly the world) more racist against black people. Or maybe more race conscious or too race conscious. Hence why I think there are some white people/non-black people (or most) that just can't handle it anymore.

And now with social media and the internet we can read and get a public perception of the world's animosity against black people so it kind of feels like racism has been hitting harder than before cause they've never had to confront any sort of reality involving race until now and it's more prevalent and stinging....

To the point where it seems absolute negativity involving black people is subconciously being promoted more and positivity/good news involving black people is being swept under the rug.

So much talk about Lupita winning an oscar but none about Steve McQueen being the first black person to win a Best Picture oscar. No discussions about how black graduation rates have been increasing and black on black crime has been decreasing. I see the agenda and it ain't slick at all. The powers that be know that it's probably in their best interests to keep black people in a state of confusion but so many of us are doing the work for them and don't even know it.
I've actually had a theory that AFTER obama leaves office, its gonna get HARDER for black people because the bar is gonna be raised.

I think so too...all I can say is that America is gonna be alot harder for people in general after Obama leaves office period just due to inflation and the job market being where it is.

They ain't in a position to demand shyt from them. Maybe beg, but those whites are knee deep in debt. Last thing they're gonna do is give them island nikkas some money. They keep demanding the only thing the white man is gonna give them is a tsunami.

These...

To most white people on non-blacks to only black nations worth going in are ones where they just romp around and do dumb tourist shyt. I remember going to the Bahamas when I was younger with my family and I remember that we had some of them asking us if we worked at the resort.

they piss me off cause they don't own up to their crimes/injustices and get mad at the victims for being victims.

You were too young, but if I was your father I would go on some :birdman: "No I'm a tourist just like u"

In this, Haiti should be chief demander

Because not only was slavery in Hispanola among the most brutal, but after they won their independence France demanded a repayment of 150 million francs, over 21 billion modern dollars for repayment of "lost property":stopitslime:

A debt recognized by the cac world at large that crippled Haiti's economy from its inception and wasn't fully paid (by further loans) until 1947.

They agreed to it cause the cac world at large refused to recognize them as a free nation and isolated them in an effort to suffocate them. If that is not one of the most malicious crimes done to a black people, show me Satan himself.

But we all know these cac nations ain't gonna have this. They'll probably try to ignore it hoping it'll go away just like every other atrocity they're done to mankind:sitdown:

The British also got reparations at the full price for every single African in the Caribbean, Parliament approved the claim.

And British Jamaica made more profit for Colonial Britain than all the other Caribbean islands and Modern day USA combined

Here.

But then again, according to biased and manipulated history books, only black americans lived in America during that period you mentioned. Not even emphasizing or pointing light on the fact that there were small pockets of carribeans and africans in America.

Marcus Garvey was trying to bridge the gap between carribeans, africans, and african americans with pan-africanist philosophies and was eventually deported. If he wasn't, I truly believe that there would be more unity amongst black people worldwide and more communal wealth. It's not really detrimental to black people to continue to flourish with divisions amongst each other globally.

I had to dap you on the bolded part. But I guess what he was trying to say is that Africans and caribbeans weren't in the united states on any significant level back than. Pretty much under the radar for the most part. Civil rights was fought on a state, county, district, neighborhood etc level and like 98% of its soldiers were AA

less that 10% of Africans stolen from Africa went to modern day USA. Over 70% went to mainland South America

Here's a little update and information for those that don't know. This country is actually apart of the Reparations Committee

St Kitts and Nevis (WINN): The inhumane , horrific treatment meted out to enslaved people in the past, and the present overindulgence of empowered Caribbean people, have led to the same result: high incidents of high blood pressure and diabetes that now threaten to eat up significant slices of national budgets.

Patrick Martin, St. Kitts and Nevis Chief Medical Officer, fingers nutritional excess as the driver of obesity rates of 75 percent in adults and 25 percent of children and adolescents in the country. On a recent edition of Voices, Dr Martin argued for sustainable lifestyle change.

“We have to make fresh foods cheaper. We may have to do what is done in the United States- subsidize farmers and fishers, especially in the area of energy so that the food they bring to the market remains affordable.”Martin told WINN 98.9.

We have to pay attention to how we design and construct our physical spaces so that we don’t replace greenery with concrete and that people have adequate opportunities to walk, run, bike, swim.

On a recent edition of The Bigger Picture hosted by News Editor Ken Richards, excerpts from Sir Hilary’s Beckles, the chairman of the CARICOM Reparations Commission, lecture on Reparations, put the spotlight on the health crisis facing the region.

“In every black family in the Caribbean, hypertension and diabetes is endemic and congenital. In my family almost everybody over 60 has hypertension and diabetes and it’s the same for your families and all our families, “said Sir Hillary, who argues that there is an explosion of ill health in the Caribbean caused by colonialism and slavery. “

You take a people, put them on an island for three hundred years, give them salt fish and salt pork every day, overwork them and undermine them, sell their children, rape their wives, make them work 20 hours a day- overwork, malnourish and take them through that stress profile of physical and mental terror. What you get? Hypertension and diabetes! It was the same then as it is now,” said Sir Hilary, in a presentation in St. Vincent and the Grenadines last year. CARICOM ‘s reparations claims are to argued by London law Firm Leigh Day, according to media reports, and channeled through the United Nations.

Caribbean countries want former European colonizers and sale traders to meet demands for a number of measures including: Provide medical assistance to tackle chronic diseases like hypertension and diabetes Help poor communities in the region still suffering from the after-effects of slavery Investment in literacy to improve education in the region Help Caribbean people rebuild their history and identity through cultural exchanges with West Africa Issue an unqualified apology for what was done to the enslaved peoples - See more at: WINN FM 98.9 - Salt And Stress Wreaking Havoc In Post-Slavery Caribbean | Local
