You do need a dominant inside presence. Maybe not a center but you need a guy who demands double teams inside in a halfcourt setting. You aren't beating the Warriors outshooting them, you need to slow the game down so they can't get out on the break and punish them.

I don't understand why people feel they need to play like the Warriors to beat the Warriors.

Well one the warriors are a big team, regardless of what ignorant people who can not read a roster says.
the only way to best them is by playing with a big unit and playing high percentage basketball that is low post or dribble drive extensive. With actual dogs on the wings in the backcourt. Who can and eill impose their will. Right now, if the thunder play big you have the highest skilled backcourt on paper. If you play Russ, pg, Melo. Of which pg is used to this from coming up under granger before getting hurt. Plus Melo gets to play with a dominant NCAA champion minded coach which he gels with most. From his days with jimmy b in Syracuse. So, now the thunder just need a real four.
to plug in who can play big and help out on the intangibles. Plus is willing to help Adams around the basket on defense. The west just became an incredible shootout and we are all gonna enjoy this season. Plus next season after this as the intrigue of where mr bron my former favorite player.

No it is not,....
The lack of actual skill in the low bball era is the issue.
Also the lack of people and erosion of the black gene pool from crack. eliminated the large mass of tall black men from existing.
Not to mention the fact a ball player has to play in aau, and develop. As aau ruins the dynamic of the grassroots built player from succeeding after the post crack epidemic era. As the ability for a grassroots player to have large mass amounts of competiton in play was eroded as well.

Eventually, or hopefully this can be re-righted. Yet the effects of crack and the erosion socially, genetically, etc. Have actually ruined the quality of everything for all the time to come in America. Especially as far as sports is considered.

I disagree. KD was disloyal, way before free agency. The disloyalty didn't come from him going to another team. It came from him being compromised. Ain't no way in hell you can tell me he hadn't made up his mind about going to GSW. Ain't no way in hell you can tell me that consciously, or unconsciously him pow wowing with them nikkas all year didn't have an effect on his performance. The main choices were either win and stay, lose and go. They win, it makes it that even more of a big deal to get all the way to the finals and dip.

Then the situation with Russ, which can't be looked at as the same as Bron and Kyrie puts the icing on the cake.

He jumps on the bandwagon, gets his bullshyt ass ring and continues to throw his old team mates under the buss. That "no loyalty in sports" shyt doesn't apply here. Dude is a herb, period point blank. Even he knows it.

Bron did the same thing breh.
The whole miami cryptic comments about his number being retired in Miami and his performance in the finals was the same thing Durant did to okc.

In both Durant and bron's favor tho. Both were in organizations that pulled coups and lacked good faith. Which poisioned both to the culture of the org to leave. So, imo both acted how you have to act when you are in a toxic environment admin wise. I pointed this out in my whole timeline of Durant leaves okc and why it goes all the way back to Seattle and the collusion and coup to steal the supersonics from Seattle. Bron also had to deal with the same issues originally in Cleveland. As it was obvious, Cleveland administratively was using bron and never going to respect him to properly staff the cavs before he left the first time.
So, both bron and Durant had credence to leave. I agree it was a conflict of interest but the organizations, okc and Cle both lacked good faith and brought about why both left.
You can never work for a company that lacks good faith. It just eventually wears on you.

the NBA is lacking competitive teams, if this team does make the conf finals which I don't think they do (by finishing 3rd) it will just be indicative of the league not how great they are
