No I say it's moot because I am not a precog. One can go off whatever stat they want to but in the end the season has to play out. And the other reason is knowing who you are communicating with. Yeah I know that, but PG does everything melo does just as good if not better.

I don't see what melo provides to the squad that really differentiate himself.

Structurally this move looks redundant.

Teams can only have one player who does things? They're not playing the same position so it doesn't matter. Plus Melo defending the 4 is much better than him defending the 3 since he's at least an average post defender (and a terrible perimeter defender).

Why mention Chris Paul? And FYI, the league MVP is still Westbrook and George & Melo are still two of the best players that were from the eastern conference outside of LeBron himself. The point is that when Boston made the dynamic trade ten years ago, all THREE TEAMS were at the bottom. The Celtics, the Supersonics, and the Timberwolves sucked and KG, Pierce, and Allen never proven their greatness as "winners". And don't even put Doc Rivers in this, because he was the coach of the Celtics when they were last in the league!

who knows man. I am just speculating. not sure if the Suns want to get rid of Chriss. I wouldnt. Not sure if the Knicks want any of those other guys besides Warren maybe because he could fill Melo's gap somewhat...but I am sure they wanted more than just TJ. Also, I dont think the Suns want an older player like Melo being that he doesnt really gel with their timeline. OKC is at least a WC contender. Suns still wouldnt be shyt so why give up young guys and assets for Melo?
