I never thought it was although I really enjoyed it. Carter 2 is though. But after hearing the arguments I guess I understand why people call it one.

I'll call it a classic for the simple fact that it captured a moment in time for hip hop. It may not be a 10/10 album, but I can hear songs from that album and remember what I was doing at the time and everybody fukked with it

Would've definitely been a classic of the original had been released. The C3 sessions are some of the best post 90s hip hop ever made.

It's the apex of Wayne's career and the culmination of all his work from Carter II to the Drama tapes.

The real story is what would happen if we combine the album version with Tha Carter III leaks. You might have an undisputed classic. Also, this album brought out the legend of Static Major.
