I actually agree, what ever they do they cannot really afford to lose Love because even though his scoring is mercurial, he hoovers up rebounds and is a good passer for a big man. Tristan Thompson is the guy they should look to move.

nikkas that run their mouth about 'empty stats' don't know what they're talking about. Hitting open shots aint 'empty'. In MN when he was the focal point of the offense MN's starting 5 was top 5 in the league by most measures. They had THE worst bench in the league and were hit hard with injuries which is why they never made the playoffs, plus the West was much tougher than the East. Love can absolutely be a #1 option for a playoff team, he just can't be #1 for a championship team these days. He also needs to play next to a rim protector.

Adding PG is probably a wash or a negative offensively for the 1st unit because he's not the spacer that Love is and is a bit redundant with LeBron. That said he's good enough as the quasi 4 for them to still be excellent offensively and he can definitely anchor a 2nd unit while holding up defensively which lets LeBron play fewer minutes. Defensively he's a big upgrade not only in versatility but because he can guard the other teams best perimeter player. All the sudden the Cavs can have Bron, PG/ Tristan and JR/Shump which is a pretty good defensive unit even with Kyrie out there.

The problem is that any player they get Lebron is going to demand they do what love does...rebound, try to play defense, and stand at the 3 point line...

Did it with Bosh...Did it with Love...going to do it with however they get...
Bullshyt fake ass narrative

Kyrie still plays like Kyrie
Wade was still Wade til he became flabby.

If you have other talents, Bron will let u play your game. Period!

Love isn't the reason they lost the Finals but he's their most tradable asset cause you know they aren't letting Kyrie go. That's the only reason why he is possibly being shopped around the league.

I think Love is a great player still, but he just doesn't fit. PG gives them more perimeter defense and another scoring option with good playmaking ability.
I don't get the love affair with "Paul george" he wasn't exactly carrying the pacers to any level of greatness and if they trade love who is going to get them boards? Not thompson's weak ass

Love Sucks breh :francis:

2-8 6 pts in game 5 :scust:
Agree....he sucks especially against GSW overall....however he did better than last year (except that much needed stop when he locked up Curry). Love did very well against Celtics but Cavs have to focus on preforming well against their rival GSW...and Love doesn't produce enough....like u mentioned in Game 5.

The Cavs main problem is defense. Even when they scored 120 in the finals, they still lost. Their roster had no defensive stoppers. Love is very good offensive player, but they desperately need a two-way player who can switch

:stopitslime: Let's act like bron didn't turn him into a 3 pointer shooter. No offensive bih will ever reach they potential playing next to bron.

He didn't :heh:. Love has been shooting 3s. Only difference now is fewer touches in general because he is...wait for it...the 3rd option as opposed to a 1st option. Most guys don't reach their full potential as 3rd options. Is Kevin Love reaching his full potential gonna get you to the Finals? :ld:

Only place losing Love for one of those two hurts them is the boards. If Bron dedicates himself to the 4, he should be able to make up that difference. Both guys are able to score and create, and I'd imagine they could each do a decent job shooting open 3s. Massive upgrades on D...aka the Cavs Achilles heel last year. You don't want 33 year old Bron as your go to defender on top perimeter players. Bron and Kyrie dominate the ball because no one else can do anything with it. They all have to be set up. Adding another guy that can handle, score, pass, and hit open 3s isn't gonna hurt any offense. Neither move looks very realistic now anyway.

Not sure what is so hard to understand about this. It's hard to win a chip when 2 of your top 3 are average at best defensively and the other one is on the decline AND not really trying consistently. They are in desperate need of a perimeter defender that isn't a minus on the other end...well when they play the Warriors at least.
