While Kuzma is indulging in socialite life nobody ever expected him to be great.
He honestly over exceeded expectations and if he wasn’t in a Lakers uniform wouldn’t be as hated as he is. Dude is a solid nba player and he did that after being a non lotto pick with lotto picks around hum

Nothing off base about what he’s saying…

…Only 450 out of 8 billion people on planet Earth will even occupy an NBA roster spot at any given time to begin with. Of that 450, only 150 will start in any games. The percentages get even smaller when you break down how many of these guys will be All-Stars, Hall of Famers, or champions over the course of their careers…even if they ALL wanted these things and worked for them.

This is before we get down to how many of these guys are wired and talented beyond measure for those pursuits. It’s a reason you can count the Brons, KDs, Giannises, Stephs, & Kawhis on one or 2 hands…meanwhile the majority is made up of WAY more regular guys who are just happy to have even made it to league.

It is hard for me to comprehend not wanting to be great when you’re at the pro level and the competition is so fierce that you could be out of the league before you know it.

Complacency is more understandable at a routine job. Not at the highest levels of athletics.

I am not saying complacency doesn’t exist there. But fukkin hell…talk about leaving a lot on the table.

when you're old, the worst thing to have is regrets :francis:

If I was in the league my only concern

Is getting the big pay check that’s it

being great on a Kobe, Barkley, Lebron, etc level would be great… but hell as long as I’m not a bum and be a good player putting up good stats ( IE BIG KAT)and getting big checks I’m good
its easy to say that when you didnt dedicate your life to something...
...when your peer circle isnt other players

I would imagine a lot of men would want to prove themselves

This is true, and it's the same in all walks of life. My homie has that MJ mentality of always putting forth his best effort, and he surpassed me because of it.

I got to my ship as an E-4 when he was an E-3. 12 months later, and I'm still an E-4, yet he's an E-5. Cuz is literally one of my supervisors:mjlol:.

What's funny is that he'd tell you himself that he's not the smartest, or the most clever, or even the most friendly guy, but his work ethic is so much higher than everyone else's, that you can't help but to promote him. He always gets the job done, and he does it quickly and efficiently.

Usually, it'd take an E-1 3-4 years to make E-5, but cuz got that shyt in 1½ years.

Having a high work ethic can take an average guy to some great places.
nikka you love the Navy. You always talking bout that shyt :mjlol:

Ben is an Aussie

He's had people telling him he was gonna be ..or is..
Great since forever

He's 6'11" he won the DNA lottery and it made him rich

But he doesn't have any dog in him

People used to say Kobe was soft cause of the European thing but he played ball in the city as a youth

He went through the grinder and came out the other side tougher & stronger

This is the first time Ben had to deal with adversity and he running from it

There's no reason why he shouldn't be playing like Giannis

Yeah and nothing wrong with that.

No difference than the cat at work who doesn’t want to be in management just wants to check in at 9 and bounce at 5
True.
It's a tough job to be or work at being exceptional (or at least more than the average Joe) - but somebody's got to do it.
Or be happy being France or Sears or Oldsmobile or John Koncak.
