We know half the heads in here don’t know shyt about statistics and probability but it is absolutely pointless to take two point shots when your opponents are not.

People constantly hammer this point home...but the league still averages nearly 37% from three on a ridiculous amount of attempts, which is GOOD. Just because they don't have Steph or Klay doesn't mean they're not at least shooting decently from out there. The league is shooting nearly twice the amount of attempts it averaged in 2011 (35 vs. 18.6) on BETTER percentages (36.8 vs. 35.8)The problem is a lot of teams aren't equipped with enough 3pt shooters to play like GSW
25 out of 30 teams shoot at least 35% from three. That means it's working.
People bring up that point as if there's a bevy of teams shooting sub-30% from 3 or something. It's a weird strawman.

What rule change could you even do to get shyt back to semi normal? Youre not gonna eliminate the 3 and a 4 point line will just make shyt worse.
Imo, over 40% from 3 is good. Anything under that is average & attempts should be limited.

Shooting 33% from three is the equivalent to 50% from two. It's just a smarter shot to take than the midrange if you're trying to win games. Anybody shooting at least 37% taking at least 6 a game is smart basketball.

Take away the 3 point shot in the 1st and 2nd quarters... The game will improve. You'd see the game diversity with post game, inside shots, mid range and then the 3 point barrage that fans of this era like.
