To each his own, breh. I love Atlanta , tho I wanna leave it just like I loved Miami before I left there too. I'm a nomad. The next city I want to live in is actually Paris or London but I'm sure after a while I'll get tired of three too.

I haven't seen anyone compare Charlotte to Atlanta since the mid 2000s. Nobody wants to end up like Atlanta.

I think ATL tries to compare itself to cities like D.C., Chicago and New York and they know the city can't compare unless you're a complete homer or you have a specific reason for wanting to be there vs. the larger cities (for most people, COL). So they try to throw their weight around at smaller cities. I"m not even from Charlotte (I'm from PA and DE originally), so it was funny seeing dude hurling insults my way when I"m not even from the North Carolina area...I just can see its value vs. Atlanta/Georgia.
