Cant talk, thats the least of the worries, ALL the tools are out there and available. Its just about combining them. The big thing is its designed to be conversational, you think taking from text form to having it talk will be an issue?

SOON :demonic:
I'll be honest, I'm not familiar with the full list of tasks a recruiter has, but when it comes to communicating over the phone about the job and the work environment, talking to robots has always been an annoying experience.

My problem with AI is its automating creativity. We could usher in a great society of immense leisure and freedom, but when you automate creativity you're literally taking away purpose.

People like writing, teaching, building, composing, programming, etc. It's not even a question of money, because I think it's apparent UBI will have to be a thing within 20-25 years. But what are people going to do? Watch TV and interact with artificial realities all day? TV, media, and reality will no longer have any kind of societal meaning anymore when you take away these activities.

Purpose is going to be the question of the next generation.

Data entry clerk? Chatgpt doesn't generate documents outside of the environment.
Recruiter? I don't get this one either. Chatgpt can't talk

creativity ain't going away, in fact when really good open source models can run on consumer hardware there will be a new renaissance of creativity.

I just asked it to explain shyt like Kanye to see what it would say

:lupe:

Yo, what's up The Coli fam? It's your boy ChatGPT, the AI language model here to talk to you about the future of capitalism and how AI is gonna help, not take jobs. Now I know some of y'all might be skeptical about this, but hear me out, 'cause I'm about to drop some knowledge like Kanye dropping a new album.

First of all, let's talk about what capitalism is all about. It's about creating value and making money, right? And what's one of the most important things when it comes to creating value? Efficiency, my friends. You wanna be able to produce more stuff with less resources, which means you can make more money and keep prices low for consumers. And that's where AI comes in.

AI can help businesses be more efficient by automating repetitive tasks, predicting demand, and optimizing production processes. Think about it like this: instead of having a human worker do the same task over and over again, a machine can do it faster and more accurately. And when you can do things faster and more accurately, you can produce more stuff and make more money. That's just basic math, baby.

Now, I know some of y'all might be thinking, "But ChatGPT, if we automate all these tasks, won't that just lead to a bunch of job losses?" And I hear you, I really do. But here's the thing: when you automate these tasks, you free up human workers to do other things. Things that require creativity, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence. Those are things that machines can't do (yet), and they're things that are gonna be in high demand in the future.

So yeah, some jobs might disappear, but new ones will be created. And the jobs that will be created will be higher-paying, more fulfilling, and require more skills. Plus, with AI taking care of the boring, repetitive tasks, workers will have more time to focus on what they're really good at. And when workers can focus on what they're really good at, they're happier, more engaged, and more productive. And that's good for everyone.

So to sum up, AI is gonna help the future of capitalism by making businesses more efficient, which will create more value and make more money. And while some jobs might disappear, new ones will be created that require higher skills and pay better. It's a win-win situation, my friends. So don't be afraid of the robots, embrace them. They're gonna help us all get rich like Kanye.

What I'm interested in is what happens with copyright and IP law. What if you use it to create a work, and it took the idea from something else but it didn't tell you.

There's still a level of human sense and review that needs to be done. I currently have it generating code for me. I did see a story of a developer getting a code snippet back, and asked ChatGPT to explain it, but it was wrong.

there are open source datasets with content scraped from sites with copyleft licenses.

Not sure if this is true. The sum of the inputs will be less than the output. That's not creativity, thats automation.
input is continuously adjusted to modify output. chatgpt is an ongoing conversation. creatives always tweak and users have already demonstrated the multitude of ways they are tweaking inputs for chatgpt.

whoever wrote that is someone in engineering in denial :mjlol:
Seriously. RIP Jr Devs.

I spun up an extension I’ve been dreaming about in Chrome/Edge, Safari and Firefox. This thing has been kicking around in my head for 10 years and it took all of 10 seconds.

I’m not completely new to programming. I’ve built front end heavy apps using Vue and Firebase as my backend. BUT I literally spent another 20 min finishing the front end and then it was good to go.

I get better at prompting and can turn that 20 into 5.

My company is experimenting with it but so far it’s limited to experiments to nudge the user, filter and apply metadata to content. I’m in a sector where we can’t go all in on AI just yet. 1 mistake would make the news.

our government has officially fallen behind the curve doing something for the people who it threatens.
But the real question is how do we restructure the economy (and society) with this massive change.
when you automate creativity you're literally taking away purpose.
Purpose is going to be the question of the next generation.
Why they makin' moves to keep people from moving around too much or too far?
All this shyt 'bout "communal" living....
