1. The Rays play in South Florida and they mostly care about football, hell, HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL, more than baseball. There's sunshine and 100 things to do besides watch baseball.

2. The Oakland A's are hamstrung by the San Francisco Giants who are making it impossible for the A's to move to San Jose and a better stadium. Plus the Coliseum is an awful place to watch baseball.

3. It's the NBA and NHL playoffs. I'm sure that contributed a little.
Since when was Tampa in South Florida

Rays aren't in South Florida. They're up in Tampa, which is a top ten city for hockey attendance of all things. The problem for the Rays is the stadium. The Trop is a horrible place to be, and in Tampa traffic (which is awful) can be an hour drive away from Tampa proper.

It's right outside of St. Pete, which is Tampa's smaller, more laid back, more I guess...bohemian cousin. St. Pete is a chill arts and culture city. The team needs a move to Downtown Tampa or Downtown Orlando to prosper. No amount of success will fix their location issue. Just like the Panthers.
The south could give a fukk about professional baseball.

The Atlanta Braves couldn't even sell out World Series games in the 90s.

Did you miss the part about the Lightning being a top ten city in NHL attendance, because I'm sure before you knew that you'd say the south could give a fukk about hockey, too. An hour away Orlando is the #2 team in soccer attendance. Meanwhile the Bucs are down at the bottom of NFL attendance despite an upswing, winning season while the Magic are perfectly in the middle of the league ahead of playoff teams despite a god awful season with nothing to even be excited about moving forward.

So Central Florida is a Hockey, Soccer, and Basketball area but baseball is a no hoper? :why:

The area is all about accessible entertainment, and the Lightning, Orlando City Soccer, and Magic all have their venues smack dab in the middle of their respective city centers. Rays and Bucs are out of the way and are suffering for it.
My bad. I forgot how close it was to Tallahassee.
Tampa might as well be annexed by Georgia.

:troll:
It's just as close to Tally as it is to Miami. Stop talking shyt you don't know about :dead:

There's a large Latino section of the south that loves soccer. They ain't all Cubans and Dominicans.

As far as hockey is concerned, it's a 2 hour game and the Lightning average 19,000 fans to the Rays averaging 15,000.

Really not that big of a difference.
Think breh.

I was going to respond to all the wrong shyt you managed here in just a few sentences, but you just compared crowd sizes across sports with no regard for venue size:russ::russ::russ::russ::russ::dead::dead::dead:

So I hope you enjoy your next South Florida vacation in exotic Tampa and tropical Orlando

What does venue size have to do with raw attendance?
