A's need a new ballpark and will get one.

Rays are surprising though because they're playing well and that yankees series was pretty fire. Tampa is definitely a football town through and through I don't they give a damn about the Rays and they've only been to one world series I think.

Rays attendance is surprising ?

1. The Rays play in South Florida and they mostly care about football, hell, HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL, more than baseball. There's sunshine and 100 things to do besides watch baseball.

2. The Oakland A's are hamstrung by the San Francisco Giants who are making it impossible for the A's to move to San Jose and a better stadium. Plus the Coliseum is an awful place to watch baseball.

3. It's the NBA and NHL playoffs. I'm sure that contributed a little.
Thats pretty weak because
  1. Going to a baseball game is the most "sunshine" thing to do :dahell: it is a summer thing to do...and there are 10000 things to do other than watch baseball in nyc, chicago, detroit, seattle, etc
  2. Bad stadiums dont beget terrible attendance unless distance to metropolitan area is a factor. Joe louis arena was a total piece of shyt at the end.
  3. That would bring everyone down, and nhl playoffs aint doing shyt to these franchises.

1. Markets are different
2. Not necessarily
3. Depends on the market and which cities have teams in the playoffs.

When Michigan is playing a home game, the Tigers probably seeing an attendance drop. You should know this, goofball.

I was watching a Royals-Rays game and it even caught my attention how empty it was...
Whit Mayfield hit a home run, and I saw a dude walking to get the ball. lol

This isn't surprising. Every time I've gone to Tampa bay to watch the Yankees it's half capacity and half the fans there are Yankees fans. My dad was at he game the other day and sent me pictures and this was the case again. It's a market of transplants and snowbirds from what I've seen personally. I went to the ravens game in Tampa in 2014 and some 40% of the crowd was wearing purple.

Also, because I'm obviously refuting that these places have bad attendance; but don't a lot of baseball games get played on weekdays and during workhours sometimes? That might be a cause
