The Bay
The A's are a summer team, nobody goes to games till then. Also let them hit .500, then the people will come.
In a way, its like the force coming full circle and evening out cause every other ticket in the bay is cheese.
That said, the A's wont draw regardless with a new stadium or not. This is due to location, not unless they get a stadium in San Jose, which they wont...they will always be under 20k. Even downtown oakland wont draw, right now the Coliseum is as accessible as it will ever be with bart and amtrak right there.

Oakland
a's stadium is bad, but a's fans are also tired of the shyt form the owner. the threats to leave, the whole played out bean ball...shyt hasn't kept us competitive. plus there isn't the same line in the sand in baseball as it is in football, so with the giants having had so much success recently, they leached "fans"

Baseball is notorious for inflating its attendance numbers so 15000 is probably more like 10000

I understand coliseum is a shyt hole and all that... but I've never minded going to baseball games there :manny: sure in the summer you can't compare it with more open parks and shyt but still. Oakland in general had good weather too, imagine an open park near the waterfront or maybe on the hills :noah:

TYRONE GA!
Rays aren't in South Florida. They're up in Tampa, which is a top ten city for hockey attendance of all things. The problem for the Rays is the stadium. The Trop is a horrible place to be, and in Tampa traffic (which is awful) can be an hour drive away from Tampa proper.

It's right outside of St. Pete, which is Tampa's smaller, more laid back, more I guess...bohemian cousin. St. Pete is a chill arts and culture city. The team needs a move to Downtown Tampa or Downtown Orlando to prosper. No amount of success will fix their location issue. Just like the Panthers.

Yup. My wife used to stay in the Carollton area of North Tampa back in the late 90s, early 00s. Nobody checks for fukkin St Pete :mjlol:

Once the Warriors bounce, they'll tear down Oracle to build the new A's joint more than likely.
