I'd gladly take custody of my daughter in a heartbeat and doubt I'd ask for support. If I did it would be out of pure spite and not because I needed it.

The utilities/rent/food is a good debate because what seems to be forgotten is the non custodial parent has to keep that shyt up as well. My daughter is 10, she isn't going to sleep on my couch in the living room. She has a room at my house. I can't get a one bedroom. So in some of your eyes my support needs to pay for the extra rent incurred by her mother because the child needs a room but y'all are forgetting I'm incurring those same charges. So not only do I have to pay for my own household I have to pay for the mother's as well. Same deal with utilities, food, and clothing. I still have to buy all that stuff as well. And I'd say my daughter is with me 40% of the year.

No kids here but I personally know a few nikkas trying to get sole custody or at least trying to adjust the current custodial visitation rights.
shyt is real hard, and in these particular situations the women play keep away with the git like its really a game.

And dont act like its easy for the man to get custody. The bar is so low for women but yet so high for men. You damn near gotta
prove that your BM is a legit crackhead or a child rapist to get custody. While the man gotta be making way more than the women, cant have a record, and pretty much gotta
keep an A1 tight circle for the judge to even think about it.

I been preaching the get full custody brehs shyt. I agree that men need to be in their childs life everyday, but I know just as many sisters who use child support to pay the note on they Altima or go by a fit for the club as I do cats who are deadbeats and dont take care of their children. Both sides of this argument have some fault in this.

Oh, in that case you misunderstood. I absolutely did not refer to women as hoes. A lot of the guys on here talk about child support as if women are ripping off their childrens father. My intention was to specify that yes, that type of woman exist ("hoes"), but in most cases single mothers deserve to chose how they want to spend their child support money because raising a child is like a second job. I thought that by bolding "hoes" it would make it clear that even though I disagree with what most guys on here are saying, I also recognize that there are some "ain't shyt women". In other words I did the opposite of using it as a substitute for women, but I don't have a problem with you calling me out on it if that's how you saw it.

You do make a good point in that we could improve in the way we speak about women in general, and I'm sure I'm guilty of that as well sometimes, but I don't think it was the case here.

Moreover when a mother is happy, a child is happy. When a mother is unhappy, a child is unhappy. I think most of my dad's child support went into what my mom wanted (including rent, groceries, shoes, etc), but that was OK since she sacrificed a lot of her life raising and taking care of me. My dad, in comparison, had all his time to himself.
