Chris was the ish in the late 90s and early 2000s but after that his material got redundant.

Chappelle has always been that animated comedian that can bring anything out to be funny.

Anyone thinking SNL doesnt cut half or more of material out isnt paying attention. However Chris best material in years is when he recently hosted.

Dave is much funnier and nothing was like his show. If he had full control, it would have been even funnier.

Adam Sandler isnt pushed the way Hollywood pushes Kevin as if he a new GOAT.

"witness the rise of a legend" :camby:
Kev the black Seinfeld, safe and do numbers but mediocre. I'll admit Kev's first two specials are good tho, not timeless but they get the job done.
he's far from mediocre he's built up his fan base from the ground up I don't get the hate

He did have full control of the show. They had to do a lot of convincing to get the show they wanted on air for the pilot (Clayton Bigsby) once that popped off and was a hit. Dave and Neal were allowed full creative control.

Mediocre is too strong for kev but I meant that when you see them outside their stand up they can't stand on a leg unlike the others mentioned in this thread.

There were parts that they controlled but once it was a hit, CC started regulating what they thought should be good.

First, they're both greats so it doesnt really matter

Second, Chapelle is not only funny but the way he mixes current events and real world topics into his comedy is flawless, the Ja Rule joke alone is legendary status

Kevin Hart was genuinely good in Seriously Funny, Im a Grown Little Man and Laugh at My Pain but then he fell off a cliff and never recovered. Just another goofy black movie sidekick now
