Spurs brehs explain this to me

Why is that the Spurs match up so well with the Thunder? From the couple of games I saw them play each other

1. The Spurs guards are so elite that they force SGA and Jalen Williams
2. Chet/Hartenstein don't have an advantage downlow against Wemby and Kornet
3. Spurs play very physical, and OKC are more of a finesse team
not a spurs fan but I think that sums it up. There guard rotation is the best in the league. Elite ballhandler on the floor at all times and their defense can be even better than okc’s with Wemby out there.

Okc gets a little too Sga focused at times on offense, only is noticeable against great teams.

Spurs might have OKCs number

I'm Canadian, and I'm an SGA stan, but I'm sure there's nobody okc wants to see less in the playoffs than the Spurs
They young and can run with them that's been OKC advantage and they got better players

It’s what I said about OKC’s flaws for a while now: outside of their double big lineup they are severely undersized and never got the oversized wing that they needed.

Wiggins guarding Harper is laughable with the size difference. And if they’re not scoring off their defense, their half court offense minus Shai gets ugly.

OKC have a Spurs problem on their hands. Might be the only team can prevent a potential dynasty. I love Wemby;s mentality, he's chippy as fck.
I actually look at it the opposite way. I think the Thunder are the only thing preventing a Spurs dynasty. Spurs are already a 2 seed in the west and they aren't even remotely scratching the surface of what they are. They have a top 10 pick in Sochan contributing nothing, that is just a straight up empty roster spot for them that will turn into a rotation player. Mitch Johnson first year as a head coach. They still in infancy and they already toe to toe with what is supposed to be some juggernaut of a team in OKC.

OKC just happened to be at the right place at the right time, that 2 or 3 year spot before the Spurs are really rolling. Although it's looking like it might only be 1 or 2 years.
