Think they seem him in the vision of what they thought Jeremy could be so they kind of need him to play the 4. I think they go after a 3 of move barnes to the 3 if they bring him back. Carter is big enough to guard 1 through 4. I think he eventually becomes the defensive stopper over castle, who is great defensively but he carries such a high offensive load you asking a lot for him to usually be guarding the other teams best perimeter player to

Yeah he has that potential to guard 1-4 well

I just never got the “Sochan replacement” talks. He played SF in college. In my head, olynyk was that replacement. But both Sochan and Olynyk are mostly unplayable
