Feel like Nas is living off his name. Like yeah he dropped albums but what was Nas last great song??

Nobody around the world cares about Nas new songs, like any other rapper he can do concerts in Europe based on old shyt

:gucci:

He’s been in the game since 92. Is considered the greatest rapper ever and sold millions of records. He’s supposed to live off his name lol

Just in case anyone missed it, this is Chuck in 2024 :wow:

I missed this and I must say Chuck D’s style hasn’t changed at all and he’s sounds good. I’m being reminded of It Takes A Million.Thanx for posting and by the way…..You’ve just been ILLMMORTALIZED!🫵🏾

this is a result of yall nikkas gassing jim jones up to spite cam now he thinks he's bigger than nas

also young nikkas don't listen to either of these nikkas, he's feeling himself because the song he stole from cash cobain became a lil meme but lets be real here unless you're a diehard dipset fan or an oldhead you're not going out of your way to bump any new jim jones music in 2025
Jim jones outside of the internet is bigger than Nas. On the into to yall yes Kendra, Nas and Ross are still the biggest.

Young nikkas ain’t checkin for Jim. lol.
I don't think they are either, but I almost understand why Jim's naive ass thinks that's the case.

You still hear his music or whoever he's latching onto outside in these streets. Maino's become really good at doing this shyt too. No surprise, many of these old heads stay current by doing songs together. Fab, Jim, Maino, Fivio, etc.

Jim Jones and Dipset will ALWAYS get played at Dyckman for example. It's not because streets are tryna hear Jim Jones. It's that the dude who runs the event and the guys who generally pull up all the time (to watch games, smoke and even funnel kids into the tournaments) are either from Harlem or fukk them heavy since Juelz's brother coaches in these streetball tourneys.

The most popular young old head by a mile right now is Jadakiss. Now it's become guy who's around a whole lot who is most likely to bring out the hood or feature the hood in something he's doing.

Nas problem is critics dont big him up like they used to, so even if he isnt selling, they could always point to awards, analysis, and reviews. The "this is art" crowd. They put Kenny in that spot now and dont need him anymore even if he's still putting out good stuff.

IMO the quality of Nas music never fell off, but his popularity did. Like with a lot of Hip Hop albums the best songs are usually random album cuts and not singles.

For example do people really think H to the Izzo is the best song on Blueprint? Do people think Candy Shop is the best song on The Massacre?

Jay Z is literally the only rapper from Nas era that is still relevant, even then he is not releasing albums anymore but only one verse a year, but that single verse is usually a big deal in the culture.

With that being said, there are plenty of great songs on the Nas/Hit Boy albums.

Nas is a goat but those 2000s babies in New York don’t listen to him like that they definitely respect him though I think Chuck D like a lot posters in this thread are being emotional what Jim said was right

even worse: those same young heads, some of them would have no problem saying Nas is trash.

Im sorry that shows how irrelevant nas is. Dude dropped 6 albums in 4 years and not one song connected outside of his fanbase
