Her Harvest skills makes her a dope healer for herself and the group while doing damage at the same time.

Her Dark skills hit really hard too. Just start every other turn with Fortune Foretell and use the scythe that gets you 10 Sun Foretell with each draw.
Harvest is low key insane on her when you add in all the "shell on heal" "powerful on shell" "stronger powerful" "take another turn immediately" "provide AP to teammates on heal" picto shenanigans

that shyt had me ready for a no-parry no-dodge new game+ run :mjlol:

You’d have to remind me which boss that is.

Made it to Act 2 :wow:

I got to the boss right before and thought let me get whooped by it and imma call it a day. Beat it on the first try then the cutscenes after went all the way left :lupe:

Random but every time I see a team counter it has me thinking about this Alkaholics album cover :dead:

Cleaned up the act 2 boss last night in two tries.
To me, the build up to this point was slightly anticlimactic.
With the writing so far, I was fulling expecting there to be complete clarity about the overall narrative at the close of act 2.
Instead they took a sharp turn into a different direction and introduced a dozen more questions.
This isn't necessarily a complaint, because there is plenty of game left and time for them to button everything up.
Just a throw off from my expectations based on the build up.
Game still has me in a vice grip. Every day I'm excited to get back to it. The combat and progression hasn't missed a single beat. The music is stellar. And the story is one of the most interesting I've ever seen in a video game.

:mjlol:Didn't seem worth it IMO. I made a broken Verso glass cannon build. Beat everything in one turn.

there's pictos that give you gradient for countering, basic attacks, using items, etc.

by late game you can act 4 times each getting gradient for not even touching AP. honestly this game got some of the best build diversity i've ever seen in a rpg
Maelle also has a particular skill that damn near fills up 1 bar of gradient on 1 use of the move. I think it's only like 5-6 AP. You can very easily build a set up around her using that move every turn and have 3 gradient bars in like 3 turns. And I'm sure there's pictos that boost that even further so you could probably do it in less than that.

It feels like action combat cuz you're always parrying and dodging. Even if you hate turn based this is different.
Yeah, this is probably the most engaging turned based combat in an RPG that I've ever played. It has the snappy, quick feel of Persona on the offense side due to how quick and adjustable your menu options are and the defense side is super demanding in the best of ways since every enemy has their own unique attack strings n shyt.

I think you'll feel everything was answered by the end.
