Sony stan’s luh cac opinions until they don’t luh them :mjlol:

I really enjoyed E33 one of my favorite games of the gen.

But the industry is so much influenced by hype/hate the shyt just snowballs into unreasonable territory.

The Game Awards is a popularity contest. The voters don’t even have to play all the games they are voting for/against.

Stanning E33 was the “in” thing to do this year. Same as Astrobot last year.

One day yall gone unplug from these cacs and just enjoy what you enjoy
They even had the Astro Bot head cac announce his homie's awards like "CLAIRE EXPEDITION TREN TROIS! MON AMIE!":stopitslime:

I will say it’s a disservice for the industry to have an awards show like this where it’s seemingly all revolving around one game.

Again, I loved E33 but no way it’s was the best at EVERYTHING this year.

Lots of other games should have gotten some good recognition. It was a really good year for gaming, but watching the show you’d think only one game was actually worth talking about this year.

It shouldn't have been nominated for the indie categories. It definitely is bigger and more supported than games like Silksong & Hades.

Not to say it isn't indie, but it feels like an AA game, if that makes sense. A bit sad that those two games & Dispatch had no presence last night. At least give those passion projects a time in the spotlight.

Plus, the game that won the most awards is going to think this game is some innovative game when it's more a modern JRPG that utilizes the best from the old-school JRPGs from the past.. Tbh I could see backlash happening where we see more casual gamers calling Expedition 33 overrated, overhyped, and boring.

Yeah this game got industry backing like very few games do. Theres a feel good story about a small new team making something great, but in reality they got access to talent and opportunity that very few indie games actually do.

people here gave @The Mad Titan shyt for his posts about the awards, but he was spot on. The award show is more an advertisment/popularity show than a celebration of the best the industry has to offer.

Saw this on Neocac:

Long time rpg fans are going through exact the same thing long time platformer fans went through with astrobot last year

Anyone with more than a surface level understanding of the genre was left completely bewildered by the hyperbolic praise it received

Both e33 and Astro are fantastic games for sure, but best in there genre? That's crazy talk

Luckily for rpg fans it's not an exclusive so you won't get labeled a Nintendo/xbox fanboy for not sucking its dikk and might actually be able to have a decent discussion about it

This is probably what @The Mad Titan felt like last year :mjlol:.

I liked the game but it isn't better than Final Fantasy 16. Let me troll in peace lmao.

Can’t say it’s overrated because it never clicked with me at all. Three attempts to play the game and I couldn’t get past the first 30 minutes.

I would rather play Starfield mediocre ass campaign a dozen times over before Clair again.

Some people fukk with it heavy. I’m glad for them.

This is silly.

BG3 swept because it deserved recognition. Elden Ring swept for the same reason. They don’t happen often but when they do, they deserve their flowers.

Clair deserves its flowers.

I enjoyed this game and I hate turn based anything but it wasn't nearly as good as people make it out to be.

It somehow got all this buzz for art directions when they didn't do shyt but remix some final fantasy stuff that came out years ago.

I'm sure if you get ahold of there finances you going to see a paper trail of pay for play.

Another one of those games where the internet and cac tweets love it but in real life most people i talk to never played it and the people who did played it thought it was good but then when you ask them about they second playthrough of the game they don't have one.

Every year there is a cac tweets game and this year it's this one.

Cacs even made up this fake "double A" genre to put this game in and try to use it to shyt on triple aa games that sold more in 60 days than this did all year :mjlol:

I know this is a troll, and I really liked the game, but when it was over I wasn't blown away left thinking it's in my top 10 or any of that shyt. I thought it was a solid 8.5/10. There are several RPGs and JRPGs ahead of it on my list. Not mad at the awards, but the hype is a little out of proportion.
