But I did find this ad from Relativity records for 3 6 Mafia in 1998 saying that they sold equally to rap and rock fans :patrice:
SPIN

Can anyone explain this? :whoo:
@Iron Chin Wilder did you know about 3 6 Mafia's massive white fan base? :sas1:

:ohhh:

The first time I ever heard of 3 6 Mafia more than a decade ago was through a rock-and-roll cac who pretended to be knowledgeable about Black culture.

Was it Iron Chin Wigger? :mindblown:
keep ducking that ad @Iron Chin Wilder :umad:

Soon as I get out of the office I'll take care of the two users who consciously took it upon themselves to enter a classic discussion thread to question validity

One of which admitted they never listened to a three six mafia album

The other is upset that triple six makes better music than Mobb Deep

You're talking about the same person, and that would be mobbinfms.

I've heard a couple 3 6 albums. In fact, I was trying to find their best album a year or so back and it felt like a wild goose chase.

I've listened to some of Mystic Styles (which was pretty good) and Chapter 2 (which was not).

That's because they're the only southern groups these lame ass east coast nikkas bother to acknowledge

They weren't even bothering with Scarface until the Fix and OutKast got too big for them to deny but whatever

Please don't bring up UGK either because they didn't care until Big Pimpin

Maybe because jive didnt really care to promote them up here and them nikkas barely shot rap videos if any:patrice:

I have never seen a UGK video pre 2000:ld:

I really don't consider anything Three 6 Mafia has to be "classics" since they're so mediocre. I like "Poppin' My Collar" though.:manny:

how does it feel to be an east coast elitist hater troll loser elitist? you think 3 6 didn't influence The Boondocks?

This is why I very rarely go in the booth. You nikkas have the most ass taste in hip hop of any forum on the internet. I have never seen nikkas try to argue that one of the most influential groups of all time has no classics or was only regional. It's not even worth arguing with you nikkas because y'all nikkas are so aloof to anything that's not outdated boom bap, dusty ass 90's NY shyt. Like even Boxden nikkas ain't this bad. Y'all nikkas have to be in y'all 40's and never left the east coast to undermine the legacy of 3-6. I'm pretty sure that any nikka born in the 80's or 90's from anywhere in the country grew up on 3-6. I've heard too many non-southern, young artists reference 3-6 as being their influences. I swear to God, of all the rappers for me to have to make a case for, 3-6 should be the absolute last
Aren't most 36 Mafia fans white though? :sas1:
Hell naw. You aren't even remotely aware of their music or fanbase. Corny internet nikkas think y'all are experts on everything. Did you know the Memphis is majority black and EVERYBODY supports them. DJ Paul can just drop random songs anytime he wants to and the radio will play that shyt all day. You can come to Memphis and here Chickenhead on the radio like it's 2001 again. Their white fanbase comes from goofy white people who like corny horrrorcore shyt and their collabs with ICP. And then you tried to downplay the influence they've had on hip hop because you don't like trap music. Who gives af what you like nikka, it's still hip hop. Like I said, you'll be hard pressed to find any one who'll agree with your opinion irl, especially where I live. Y'all motherfukkers need to stop acting like your pseudo hip hop knowledge and what people bump where you live is the end all be all of what people listen to. Y'all don't understand how dumb y'all sound in this thread. Y'all nikkas seriously have the nerve to call yourselves hip hop heads, that shyt is embarrassing to me

This is what occurs when you have a subforum full of whiteboys and canadians trying to talk hip-hop (or any form of black music). :manny:

We need to start a petition with admins to get these crackas ass crackas and international weirdos the fukk up outta here...to save the integrity of this subforum.

3-6 was most popular in the region of the country that has the highest concentration of black folk...the fact this is even posed as a legitimate question shows we have entirely to many cockazoids runnin around here...

Again...I reiterate, the only ones in this thread saying this stupid shyt is a WHITE BOY and a CANADIAN...i wouldn't even waste the paragraphs.

What's funny is that many people who are on first appearance not a part of the culture actually do their best (with genuine intentions) to not only integrate themselves into cultural understanding but are also more aware of all the shyt going on more so than the supposed judgers of who and who doesn't belong.

and IronChinWilly is in no situation to comment on who can talk hip-hop and who can't, because he's demonstrated a lack of knowledge of 'his' culture.

in fact this explains why artists go abroad to do shows inc. Canada, UK etc. because there are real hip-hop heads there who respect the culture, meanwhile the legends that you so vehemently defend and honour with the keyboard talk get half the recognition in their own country.
