I've noticed a lot of UX designers on here tho, outside of studying, working on soft skills (graphic design, front end* and SEO/Copywriting) and attending designathons, what would you recommend someone tryna break into the industry do?

Exactly. The vast majority of men are not multimillion earning CEOs who are 6ft plus and in shape. They’re normal regular dudes yet they still have girlfriends, get married, have kids etc. It’s been like this since society was formed tens of thousands of years ago. If women only picked the top 10% of men and left the 90% alone the human race would probably be extinct by now. I don’t get how that ridiculous 10% thing caught on and why so many people believe it.

The only good thing about not going to college right after high school is not assuming all that debt.

Part of me really regrets not going, I bought all that, "learn a trade" stuff since 10th grade but at the sake of:

• Missing out on four years of being around ppl my age
• Having coworkers you can't really relate to
• Just being outside (really tired of it) and getting cut, burnt, bruised from time to time

I'm playing catch up rn, doing a Google Career cert for UX Design and saving up for community college a little while afterwards. All I do is work and study and I'm honestly really scared I done all this for nothing and I'm stuck with this shytty ass job I got rn

To this. Get some projects either by yourself or with people onto a portfolio, and get some case studies together. Only way to really break into UX is to work at ot, on it and to basically live that shyt. it ain't too different to being a rapper. Its HARD to get into, but once you're in, you're in. If you pay attention to each case of a young women murdered by her boyfriend, you'll see many of the suspects already have felony violations on their record.

Alot of these guys are already deep in the streets, and terrorizing their community.
