I have a 4 year old boy and 1 year old girl. Both are very bright and cute and use it to their advantage. My 1 year old can count to 10, and my 4 year old can do abc's, write his name, count to 100 all that. I'm the proudest dad ever at their vocabulary and achievements:to:. my advice:

#1: ABC Mouse.com if no one has said it...it's not just a commercial, it's a way of life. They eat it up and made them fall in love with learning.

#2: I changed my eating habits a while ago and it was passed down to my kids very effectively. We eat turkey, chicken, and fish, with occasional steak for the protein. Instead of chips and all that they love
veggie%2Bchip.JPG
and fruit.

They might get a cookie or two but any small sugar dessert at bedtime only. Ain't gonna run around here driving me crazy all day:ufdup: Damn bananas and strawberries do enough.

#3. I as the male am the bad cop. No way around it....I embrace it but do it right to make sure they know Daddy will do whatever for them but disrespect to any one even each other is not tolerated. I come home and they are acting up and it's:merchant:....but I also play with them, read to them, and show them new experiences as much as possible. Coolest Dad ever, but don't play with him is how i'd be described:obama:

That's what I'm aiming for

What stores do you like to get your kids clothes from?? i like to catch sales. target is good when they have stuff. i like carters, h and m, babies r us. any stores im sleeping on??

anyone else's child hooked on sprout tv. my daughter loves it. chicka, nina and star. im always watching it with her.

as far as daycare, do you guys use a homedaycare or an actual center. my daughter needs to be around other kids. i wouldnt mind a homedaycare. but i want her to learn. if i wanted her to sit and watch tv, she can do that at home. im worried the home daycare wont have much structure. that its more of a babysitter than a daycare

:salute: to the fathers

If you have daughter, learn to do hair. I'm teaching my husband so when I have to travel for work the girls will have their done to at least look decent.

Question for those with sons: Are you gonnalet your boys get their ears pierced at an early age? Just something I don't approve (mainly because it makes them look feminine considering they don't have strong masculine features) of but I would like to know why if you would.

No piercings for my son. He can do that on his own when he's out of my house and out of my jurisdiction. Even then I'd be looking at him like

You might want to reread the title :mjpls:
lol, i raise my sons. Used to do it alone. Just that 1 son was taken back to Europe like 8 years ago.

Anyway, That good parent bad parent thing doesn't fly w me.

In my situations.. the Mom is the bad mean parent.. But I'm the one that you deal with if you cross the line too much. I can go from Spoiling to Most horrible punishments on Earth really quick.

Hell no to the piercings. I had ears peiced as a teenager and still say know to that fakkit shyt for my sons.

Especially for my youngest.. as a baby everyone thought he was a girl, even now he looks pretty for a boy- his mom is already fukking up by doing his hair like a girl (imo) so earrings would make it worse.

did you like having your kids so close together?? i got a 2 year old daughter (turned 2 dec 1) and i got a son coming in march. i honestly wanted to wait till my daughter turned 4 to have another child. but that's not happening.

we wanted to wait until our daughter was at least 3.
at that age she's able to communicate, change clothes go to the toilet etc etc.
if you have the chance to wait, wait until your oldest one is out of his/her diapers.

I'm having a problem with my husband and him not disciplining our daughter. It's so stressful because he makes me the bad parent. My daughter tells me I'm mean to her and sometimes it makes me want to cry. That is not my intention but someone has to discipline her and he just won't do it. He is looked at as the fun parent and I'm the mean. It's a BIG problem to me and his is ignoring it. He go as far as leaving the house when I spank her, saying it hurts him to hear her cry. I need help brehs.
How old is she?

That's why we have daddy's girls and mama's boys.

I'm the same way with my daughter but when it comes to my son, me and my wife's roles are reversed.

I think the key is to use those roles to your advantage. Since that's his baby girl he should show his disappointment in her behavior. That will do more than you spanking her. I never spank my daughter. I just look at her and it burns her little soul to the point she'll straighten up. Same goes for my wife and my son. I'll talk reasonably to him like a grown man but the ultimate blow is his mother showing disappointment. He can't have that so she usually gets better results with him. Just use that as the secret weapon though because too much will desensitize them. These lil muhfukkas is smart and manipulative as hell lol.
