just saw Mid 90s. ok little flick. i was the same age as the kid so it was a nostalgic trip. nice to see del the funky homosapien do his acting thing. great music. running length did not wear out its welcome. ended nicely.

What I love about White Men Can't Jump is that isn't not even your ordinary sports movie. They're not underdogs, they don't miss the big shot, they don't even win the championship at the end. It's just about two guys scraping to make a living with basketball being a hustle.
The girl doesn't even stay at the end, she literally leaves after another one of Billy's fukk ups. Basketball doesn't even unite the two opposite players. They just learn that even if they don't like each other, they can use each other to make money.
It's a classic.
