Hmmm . . . reading the Biden vs Trump thread and others in this sub-forum there seems to be a feeling or hope that if we elect Biden the country will get back on the right track and things will be OK in the near future.
But current events have me thinking, with the division in the country and massive economic and social upheaval currently happening, maybe 2016 was that pivotal and the loss so crippling there is no getting back on track no matter our best efforts. Things may continue to get worse and worse before they eventually get better?

Could the Magas push a new Supreme Court Judge through, if they lost the Senate? Because technically they would have control until I think January 5 or something. But would that be enough time for them to push a judge through? Or could Democrats delay that?

they might try, but it would be an open excuse to dems to declare that the system is broken and revamp it. mitch would have no excuse for blocking obamas pick in 2016, but forcing a trump pick through AFTER he lost the election
