People underestimate just how much other Asian countries hate China. The only true ally they have might be North Korea. Even with the Asian people I worked with from all over South East Asia none of them had any good things to say about China.

I’ve been reading extensively about China and SE Asia for years and that’s repeated verbatim. The other countries cant stand China, Jinping or the Communist Party.

You seem to be implying that China could actually project their influence accross 7000miles of pacific ocean with only 2 carriers.



Literally ever island nation around China is a US buffer state with navy/marines/airforce bases.



That theoretical point could never occur. The US will still be untouched in any possible China conflict. Also, all that anit-soviet infrastructure is still in place

That nikka’s a nut. All of China’s major cities are on China’s eastern coast in striking distance from South Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore. It would be like if NYC, DC, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Chicago were all on the same coast. It would be like 98% of the United States population living east of the Mississippi River with nobody in the Midwest, South or the West Coast. This is why Taiwan, Hong Kong and the South China Sea Islands are such big geopolitical issues because any bases put in those areas would ensure they would get their ass lit on fire if they got froggy with the US but I’ll let stupid nikkas tell it otherwise.

China is approaching nations in a different manner. A softer approach where you still have sovereign function. They're not all in your politics and installing bad leaders to keep you 3rd world status. Countries appreciate that.

China's going build these black places up and have allies. Keep telling yall that's what they're going do with Africa. If they get a few nations in Africa modernized and weaponized...it's over. Africa is the future as they have the youngest population. Who ever wins Africa will be big dog in 50 years.

America needs the image of a strong navy force and untouchable navy capability to bully weaker nations. US doesn’t actually need to fight an actual war to beat China. Just contain them and build alliances with neighboring countries and economically isolate them.

Their 3 to 1 gdp to debt ratio and the ongoing economic fallout from the coronavirus will unravel them further.

It will come to a point where they won’t even be able to afford a war, much less fight one.

If it came to war India is a key ally. US could wait until they make a move on India then provide air and naval support and tag team their asses.

USA should help India destory Pakistan as they are allies to China.

America and china will never go to war with each other outside of a trade war or proxy war.

Their economies depend on each other. They give us cheap products we give them money and jobs (through american companies). It is a symbiotic relationship. Until one of us decides to cut financial ties completely this will be nothing more than a high stakes game of footsie.

Also look at the number of military bases the US has outside of the US and now look at the amount of military bases China has outside of China.

That shows you why America is and continues to be so powerful. Their military is an extension of the country forcing other countries to do their bidding. Either by straight up military force, military presence, military security or opening / closing the faucet of US arms sells and deals.

If you don't understand this just look at the middle east.

sidebar, since I love history so much:

a “pyrrhic victory” or win is coined from the Epirus king, Pyrrhus, who was a cousin of Alexander the Great. There were Greek colonies on the east coast of Italy at the time and these colonies were getting bullied by the Romans, so they asked their fellow Greek, Pyrrhus to intervene. He obliged and went to war with Rome in these massive battles and kept giving Rome the beats, but the victories would come at a huge lost of men and resources. After one such battle he famously said “If we are victorious in one more battle against the Romans then we shall be utterly destroyed”.


Later, back in Greece, Pyrrhus ended getting killed by the mother of a soldier he was fighting in the streets of a greek city. She was watching the battle from the rooftop of a house, and when her son was losing, she threw a roof tile at Pyrrhus which knocked him off his horse paralyzing him.
