Comment: Why the US could no longer win a war against China

Sometimes I wonder why some American these days are so obsessed with the thought of going to war with China.

Do you need war to validate yourselves?

• The the silent generation achieved glory in WW2 and the Korean war
• Baby boomers got their teeth kicked in in the Vietnam war but achieved glory in there space race and were able to hold off Japan's economic boom in the 80s and early 90s.
• Generation X-ers got to beat their chest and achieve glory in Iraq and Kuwait in the early 90s.
• Millennials and Generation Z-ers haven't gotten the opportunity to beat their chest despite having all this modern technology because all they've been fighting are under-equipped terrorists who, while they are formidable ground opponent, it isnt as sexy as having a legit opponent to fight on all aspects of modern warfare so they can have "beat ya chests" documentaries about carpet bombing the enemy

The only other people that i could think of that's more obsessed with war are the British and they only beat americans by a hair

Ain't nobody looking for war between powers but defense contractors. Act like Donald Trump hadn't made every move to enable China to move in with sorry power brehs. These idiots talking about weapons while the real folks out there making deals. We looking at Russia when it's it's China the Trump's are making deals with. The trade war bs is deflection. China can sustain a lot more losses than the US can because the war doesn't need to be popular at home in China. Scratch a single aircraft carrier off the map and watch morale collapse.

sidebar, since I love history so much:

a “pyrrhic victory” or win is coined from the Epirus king, Pyrrhus, who was a cousin of Alexander the Great. There were Greek colonies on the east coast of Italy at the time and these colonies were getting bullied by the Romans, so they asked their fellow Greek, Pyrrhus to intervene. He obliged and went to war with Rome in these massive battles and kept giving Rome the beats, but the victories would come at a huge lost of men and resources. After one such battle he famously said “If we are victorious in one more battle against the Romans then we shall be utterly destroyed”.


Later, back in Greece, Pyrrhus ended getting killed by the mother of a soldier he was fighting in the streets of a greek city. She was watching the battle from the rooftop of a house, and when her son was losing, she threw a roof tile at Pyrrhus which knocked him off his horse paralyzing him. Another soldier came up and beheaded Pyrrhus.

The US doesn’t move alone..China Would have to build more relationships with other countries first

You ever done com2x? I have. Lets just say that you get less than 2 seconds to react to a Chinese hypersonic missle. Shyt was mind blowing when we ran scenarios in CDC. They can also make us tactically blind by knocking out our satellites and links via their anti satellite missles. The only advantage we have right now is Taiwan. If China ever gets Taiwan its a wrap because at that point gettinf into range for an attack becomes impossible (the range on their ballistic missles).

The crazy part about hypersonuc missles is that CWIS can't even stop it. CWIS is fast so
