This would make a better show
Joe Budden wanted $5 Million to re sign with Complex for "Everyday Struggle" but they only offered him $200,000 so he resigned - HipHopOverload.com
The n!gga wanted 5 mill a year for 3 years lol he trippin

Only reason I’m not sad is because I enjoy his podcast more.Im legit sad...
fukkers ruined a great thing. Its sad these brothers couldn't just do the shyt on their own, instead they had to have complex put it together. Diddy needs to do something like this and quit fukking around.
Idk got me thinking. Sure, that 5 mil was a little ridiculous. (1 mil sounds somewhat "reasonable") But, I think Cacplex could have footed about half the bill if they wanted to truthfully. The CMN has a site for damn near every facet of street/urban culture under their umbrella. They
"got money hangin out the anus"
so to speak. Like everybody else, I also feel he was highballing just to get himself out the situation, but I think Cacplex got a little more $ than they put on. Plus you gotta remember, Cacplex is the progeny of Ecko, which everybody wore in the late 90's so its not like they started "from the ground up". There was some substantial capital when they launched this thing in 02'i dont know if its a side gig when you gotta wake up at 4-5am and put in 3-4 hrs, 4-5 days a week.Be a crackhead brehs....and pass up a $200k a year steady income stream from a side gig you could do in ya sleep, a side gig that would clearly grow to a hip hop staple in bout 2-5 years, where you could then renegotiate, brehs......what an IDIOT![]()
but that doesnt make sense if the contract is up. if those rumors are true, it would definitely be a “meet me in the middle” negotiation tacticI also feel he was highballing just to get himself out the situation
And nobody can call him an idiot until we see what’s next.i dont know if its a side gig when you gotta wake up at 4-5am and put in 3-4 hrs, 4-5 days a week.

The 5 Million I can believe. This is the thing, overcharging is a normal business tactic people use when they don't want to do something, you overcharge them, and if they meet the quota, then you do it, and if they don't you walk away.
Joe probably didn't want to do the show anymore anyway, since he's in the works of branching off with his own show. So he asked them for a contract that he knew they would probably never agree to. It's a win win. They sign it, great, he gets his 5 Million and does the show. They don't? That's great too. I can leave now like I wanted to anyway, and do my own thing that I was already working on.
