Even if Dave's not a great as his peak standups or his mid-2010's ones, he's still at the very least solid when it comes to standup. He's just past his prime which happens to many comedians.

Hell, I was watching Katt's special last year and that shyt was completely sterile and almost borderline boring compared to Katt's earlier specials which had more clever jokes and a more electrifying delivery that he's known for.

So, Katt Williams stans calling out Dave Chappelle's latest work is the pot calling the kettle black afaik.

I mean....just look at this shyt.

That said, both Katt and Dave deserve respect for their craft regardless of where they're currently at.

Katt's last special was very disappointing, but like you said it happens to everyone.

I used to like them both, but I’ve lost interest in both Corey and Dave’s comedy in the last few years.

Dave Chappelle has basically turned into a “devil’s advocate” for the far right/MAGA and anyone who was willing to be honest with themselves saw this coming years ago after certain statements he was making after Trump’s election.

People just overlooked it because he’s Dave Chappelle.

I used to watch the 5150 Show pretty regularly when I was in college and I saw Corey live a few times and he was funny as fukk.

But these days he just comes off as an immature “second childhood” ass nikka.

Going on and on about the same tired shyt and claiming to “keep it real” but then backing down when it’s time to stand on his words.

You just hate to see it.

That said, I have noticed a shift with Dave. Dude is a straight up orator who sprinkles in some funny shyt on a occasion now. His acceptance speech for that one award was funnier than his last couple specials.

Corey is both keeping it a buck and bitter because Dave keeps getting props and bags. I say this as a fan of both.

The cycle Dave is in is common for comedians. George Carlin was similar. Compare his stage work from the 70s to his later years.

I was a big fan during Foxxhole days but haven't listened in years because Corey either surrounds himself w/ yes-men like Bobby or people he eventually butts heads with and talks about even tho they were kekeing two episodes earlier. Don't even get us started about SAS, Zo or the other people that Corey looked like a bitter nikka about. He called Obama gay, Foxx gay, etc and still hasn't come to turns w/ being molested as a kid and how it affected his view on the world or how he's a deadbeat dad who has another nikka raising his kids, or how he talks all this shyt about women but can't keep them and his wife left his ass.
