You are misinterpreting that article. It's merely saying they aren't loosing money on hardware sales, but that does not mean the PS4 project is profitable right now. They have a lot of R&D, advertisement, development costs, ect to recoup.

Thing is, the article didnt state that to be the reason they werent profitable. The reasons are written clearly in the link..and makes no mention of the things you stated. This is likely because all of that has been written off long ago...
