You essentially are choosing COVID. What I’m saying is the choice should be “I would rather die from COVID than get vaccinated” because like it or not that’s the risk being taken. If you’re going to take that risk at least acknowledge and accept it.I would never choose covid tho. I would choose to stay healthy at all costs and protect myself by socially distancing, washing my hands regularly and wearing a mask. why would i choose to get a virus? you said all that as a hypothetical not rooted in any reality except for the false hypothetical reality you presented.
Too many people simply don’t accept the risk they’re taking and hope they slip through the cracks. A good amount of them get COVID and then wish they got vaccinated. It’s the difference between gambling and losing then saying I wish I took the other choice rather than gambling and losing and being at peace with the choice you made since it was an active decision.
I acknowledge my choice to get vaccinated isn’t the only choice. The issue is people are making a choice passively instead of actively. Both choices have unknowns but one choice has drastically better favorable odds and it isn’t even close. If you’re going to deliberately pick the choice with worse odds should be because you want it that way not running from one set of unknowns knowingly into another set you deny.
